BJC 2007 will be held at Harvey Hadden Sports Stadium (map) (satallite), Bilborough, Nottingham between the dates of 11th –15th April 2007. This will be the 20th BJC and the second time it has been held in Nottingham, the first being ten years ago.

BJC 2007 is held for all types of circus style performers: from hobby jugglers to professional entertainers. We welcome all types of acrobats, aerialists, street entertainers, circus performers and object manipulators.

BJC 2007 is a place to attend workshops to learn new skills, improve on old skills and meet old friends and make new ones. We have various shows on in the evening as well as different forms of entertainment: bands, DJs, fancy dress, films, etc. There is a big show in the Royal Concert Hall on the Saturday evening after the Juggling Olympics and a parade through town.

BJC2007 is proud to announce that we will be hosting the World Juggling Federation UK Open Championchips (WJF UK), the first ever British Balloon Modelling Convention (BBMC1) and the World Juggling Video Federation (WJVF)
l

so, whos going? im definatly going to try and book time off work, and if anyone knows who we need to contact for volunteering etc please add the contact on here.

French23 - you will kick yourself mightily if you don't bring your camera... not only for the project, but it's got a viideo function yeah? You'll be overloaded with new things my your 2nd day so you'll need some way of remembering it! Just make sure you bring enough memory cards!!!

Lou (Tastes Like Purple) - I was thinking about holding a bit of a fire night on Thursday for old times sake. What do you reckon? Are people still going down?

NB: Fire night would be open to anyone who wanted to come along. Not an immensly exclusive thing y'know :P

Jo, Dave, Jen, Meg, Will and any others. I am happy to come and meet people and show them the way. I'm quite good at carrying stuff too smile

See you all when you get here.

ok G, what we discussed sounds great! we'll drag as many ppl down as possible - even if it means stuffing them in a bag!

for all those without G as their saviour - here's a map (not too detailed but you get an idea of the distance)

i wouldn't recommend walking!

thanks jo and knoxious - i really really appreciate your generosity! there's a chance i can get a tent from a mate but apparantly they haven't used it in years - i'm dreading the mould already! i'll let ppl know. thankx

Hey everyone - just to help if you're not being rescued and escorted by G; the train station is quite a way from the no. 28 bus stop and you will get lost without a map of the centre. hope that's helpful!

hey, me and my boyfriend are coming over a day early coz we thought the campsite would be open, so we're gonna be there Tuesday morning, we don't know Nottingham at all and we'll probably end up camping, has anyone any suggestions? do you know if anyone else will be there camping as it would probably be safer to stay in groups before the official site is opened, or if anyone near by has some spare floorspace that would be cool, I'd bring sweets and chocolate!!!!!

Will's birthday? hmmm.. perhaps, althought i don't recall it, which doesn't really mean i wasn't there! if it was a spiders based affair then possibly.

As for play i'll see what i can do ey, i would like to meet the mr bluecat! actually, i'll be happy to meet anyone, but i know little HoPpers by anything other than a nickname and a handful of net posts. so come one, come all, say hello, and...er... have a ball?
FYI: i go by the name Lawrence now, but never got round to changing it on here

anyone from the south, leaving on Wednesday, I'd really appreciate a lift, I don't think I can manage my bag and my tent on the train and then the 5 miles to the station.
I can provide petrol money, tea, food and ping/pongage.

unfortunately there's nowhere in nottingham you can just camp without gettin kicked off the site. and also unfortunately i can't offer you my floor because i'm not gonna be at home tuesday night frown otherwise i would - very sorry!

thankxbtw thank you to all those who offered tent space - you're all foolishly nice :P but i thankfully have been able to get my hands on a tent - yey! so now none of you will have to suffer me talking in my sleep about getting the children to the meadows and running from the pixies... at least i don't snore - which is much much worse! and you're all very welcome for the maps wink

hug
