ubblol I'm almost sure, there must be a similar thread somewhere, but the search went back with no results...

Things NOT to do...

... when getting invited to join a fire-gig wink

- stay up extremely late the previous night

- take the dodgyest equipment possible

- turn up 20 minutes late

- forget your costume

- when invited: hand out your own phone number/ business cards/ demo-DVD's to promoters

- constantly tell everybody that the payment is so f****ing low, you just did it "just as a personal favour"

- tell every other performer you got proposed double of their pay

- tell the promoters you got proposed 5% of what you actually got and that you're extremely satisfied

- jump out on stage completely off the agreed timeline and run over other performers

- spray kero on everybody, including fellow spinners

- never look at the audience and your mates

- turn your back to the audience 95% of the time

- completely withdraw from the music (i.e. play as slow as possible at psytrance and as fast as possible at classics)

- only show 1% of what you're actually capable of and repeat this 500 times

- drop your stick 20 times and still try to get this one particular move right

- leave without cleaning up after yourself and tell the promoters that you will call them a.s.a.p./ they shall call YOU next time they need a fireshow...

wink got it? hug

ubblol I have the pic of you infront of the NO unauthorised access looking like beaker from the muppets ubblol

another nono is allowing kids in the audience with rich parents who have bought them all led necklaces to thorw them at the performers... kids can be the worst crowd.... although I think my catching / juggling kills improved 5 fold in 1 gig I was only a safety for biggrin

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

confused where is the problem with that?.. why are otehr promoters there exactly?.

So many gigs i have got from doing this... got to eat and pay the bills you know!. As long as it is done right thats all. rolleyes

If you are invited by another fire troupe, then handing the promoter of that event who hired the other fire troupe your information on their time is concidered rude and unethical.

When doing a duo performance, never show up twenty minutes late, pissed, with a random scouser and a six pack, and then try to stop your mate spinning mid performance so you can hug him to apologise
