Its All Go!!!

the new uberevents website is now ready!

uberevents.org

it has AAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the info on UberParis:

follow the links through 'upcoming events' to UberParis biggrin

the booking form is the last menu item...

much smiliness at ubercentral biggrin

here is the general info:

Non-Https Image Link

General Info

• It starts at 1pm on Friday the 15th June, and finishes at 8pm on Sunday 17th June.

• It's at the Gymnase DUPLEIX, place Dupleix, 28 rue Edgar FAURE, 75015 Paris.

• It's being hosted by the amazing Burn Crew Concept.

• Its going to be slightly different to UberEurope: there will only be workshops and shows (and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, but not other meals) at the venue: we decided that it was better to have people coming to the venue JUST for the workshops, not staying there as well. This means better focus = better workshops = a better event. Yippeeeee.

Teachers

The following UberTeachers will be providing workshops for this event:

Meast (BCC)

Jay (Fire Fantasy)

Steph (Fire Fantasy)

Olive (Paris)

Dave Knox (Flame Oz)

Ronan (Ireland)

Ros (JAM)

Rob (Uber, JAM)

Meg (MCP)

Click here to find out just what they'll be teaching you (info will be constantly updated).

Tickets

There is a limited number of tickets, and there are 4 price levels:

Early Bird (first 20, or until April 1st, whichever comes first) - 65Euros

Professional Performer (limited to 20) - 65 Euros

Full Price (advance) - 75 Euros

Full Price (on door) - 80 Euros

To book, please fill out the booking form, and you will be contacted with details of payment.

Accommodation

Unfortunately we were unable to arrange accommodation at the venue this time. So this is what we're doing: If you can find a place to stay in Paris, please do. If you can't find somewhere to stay please mark YES in the 'Accommodation Required' box on the booking form. We will then put you in touch with an obliging host, however spaces are limited so do please try to find somewhere to stay beforehand.

Travel

Here is a map showing the approximate location. We will update it with a more accurate one including details of buses and metro routes.

From the UK:

Eurostar bookings are not available until the 14th of February for the 14th of June. I will be trying to arrange a promotional deal for those travelling, but am not yet sure of the minimum numbers needed. Eurostar is the quickest and most environmentally friendly way to get to the centre of Paris from the centre of London.

National Express have a return from £37 from London, if you are happy to be a little more squeezed.

If you are travelling by car/van from the UK, please do not travel alone: it is cheaper and again more environmentally friendly to share travel with others, not to mention more sociable! Speedferries currently have the cheapest channel crossing - £60 return fare for 4 people in a car, or £80 return for 3 or 4 people in a van.

From other countries:

I would like to fill up this section with cheap travel options from various countries. If you know the website for cheap, environmentally friendly travel in your country, please email me the details and I will add them on the website and here.

Austria]https://www.oebb.at/vip8/pv/en/Travel_within_Europe/Discount_products/]Austria

All travellers:

If you really must fly (here is a reason why you shouldn't), please at least offset the carbon you use, with climatecare.org. Thank you for helping to keep our world a better place.

Aargh! I have a throat and ear infection, and will be on antibiotics for the next week. I'm not sure if I'll be able to go. Flying (I purchased offsets to allay the guilt wink )with an ear infection is not fun. frown

Right, several coffees later...

Massive hugs must go to Olive for letting me, and so many others (28 wasn't it?) stay with you hug

Lovely to finally meet lots of Paris spinners from various videos; Def, Clare (Lakler) and the oh-so-lovely Maelle, Shivan etc, plus lots of others - Acciao, Steve (you rock - come to Play), Noel (sorry I didn't say bye!!), Jay, Jay, Steph..errr - all of you!

Huge "Wow" to everyone who was in the show (even Meg was tolerable wink ) - and of course to Rob for putting it all together.

Shame about the rain on Friday night, which put a slight damper on the fire spinning, but I think this was the only mildly rubbish thing about the entire week biggrin
Oh, and Jay's foot frown

Cool workshops, beautiful spinners, good beer, too much chocolate and bah - everything was cool.

See you all at Play

Olive, or anyone else, don't suppose you've found a pair of Seinhausser (or something) headphones in grey/orange pouch?

Can't seem to find them, and only got them on Wednesday frown
If you do, could you give them to one of the UK'ers to post on to me when they get back to England please biggrin
