i don't know either of those.

when you mean 'hard to sing' what do you mean?

do you have to sing acapella (which would make some songs considerably trickier)?

i like this one (although it generally beats me):

'mojo pin' by jeff buckley

the elephant love song is pretty easy but nice... the other one I don't know.

Try "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk" by Rufus Wainwright, it's got quite a bit of nice interval work in it biggrin (actually most of his stuff is nice) If Cigarettes is too low, "Vibrate" is higher smile

EDIT: Actually I think the elephant one might be a bit boring without a duet partner... unless you sing Kidman's parts, too, in which case you do need quite a range (or a good computer...)

i never did grades in singing tho, therefore I don't have a clue at all. what other songs are at that level to give us an indiation of the area you're looking at?

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

do something from Phantom! I love the phantom!

I also like Tommy. That's got some nice songs in it.

Ooooh oooh oooooooh! Rocky Horror! Do something from Rocky Horror bounce

And I have no idea whatsoever what those grades are, just what I find easy from singing along biggrin

(Can you tell I've just done a 2 hour concert? Completely high on music biggrin)

The Pirates of Penzance would be a good place to check out some stuff.

Also The Secret Garden has some beautiful pieces.

somewhere there's a favourite musical thread, that might give you some inspiration smile

Mike... I think an impromptu sing-a-long is definitely on the cards in Edinburgh (we'll have to get everyone to minimum safe distance of our warbling though to avoid being bludgeoned to death with midgets...)

Unless you wanna go ahead with Meg's demand of a Minstrel Dwarf Burlesque.... ubblol

Oh yeah, I've learnt a few songs of Les Miserables in French biggrin

I'm a musical git too ubbrollsmile

I am always a HUGE sucker for "Lilly's Eyes" from the Secret Garden.

However you could so do any of them, really. "A bit of Earth" is also beautiful as is "Race you to the Top of the Morning". Oh and while I'm at all the Archibal Crane songs; "Where in the world"

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

Amazing Journey from Tommy by The Who.

Fun song to sing, challenging for me being a bloke of modest range (read: narrow and low)

I hate that I'm a bass and can't sing certain songs without transposing to another key...

I used to be able to do Sigur Ros falsettos really well. But now I've been out of practice and smoking too much. Though the non-falsetto Sigur Ros songs I CAN sing are very effective for getting babies to sleep... ubblove

I don't like Miss Saigon... way too tacky.

I liked the music in Les Miserables, though the story was kinda stupid in the 2nd half.
