Hurrah smile

Sorry it’s taken a few days to post on this thread… but I’ve had to take some time to think about it and get my head straight…

Firstly….. bounce bounce bounce THANK YOU!!! bounce bounce bounce

Oh my god.

To say I’m shocked is an understatement (and yes, I know some of you were too).

I’ve a hundred things running through my head, so I’ll try to cut out all the nonsense and write the important stuff…

Thank you to Malcolm and The Mods, and to everyone who wrote to them about the clip… I feel really honoured and humbled, but I’m glad you liked it…

Massive (and completely deserved) congratulations and respect to the beautiful Fire Groove… I’d love to have your bravery for the little skirts, but I don’t have the legs for it wink

And of course, massive congratulations and respect to the amazing Rubber Heart Duo – Antti and Tommi, you guys are beautiful, you have pleased so many people this year (especially you Antti, I suspect umm ubblol ) and I wish you had more money to spend too…hug

I would also have had Phoenix fire in the top three… well done on the clip lads, and I hope to meet you somewhere along the way.

So the thank you’s:

Thanks to the very lovely Gary Watson for the camerawork – this guy is a beautiful soul, and he’s delighted the clip can be added to his CV… smile

Thanks to the uber-talented Dave Murray-Rust – not only a brilliant double-staffer and computer/AI geek (is there some connection?!), but also fantastic musician… please visit his website here: www.mo-seph.com and send him emails telling him how good he is biggrin

As far as I’m concerned, the COL clip worked because of the abilities of these two… and I think they rock.

Ok, I also want to thank a few other people, because they have all impacted on my life in a good and positive way, and I wanted to take the opportunity…

Thanks to Durbs, for letting me know in a morning text, for all the lovely wishes and for being a friend;

To Andy, for the beautiful email and for always being an inspiration.

To Drew, for his much-treasured friendship and helpful pokes when I’m being insecure and paranoid.

To Lisa, for being through all the excitement with me for the last year and making sure I kept working smile

To the Irish spinning community – Solas, Dec, Cameron, Helen, Martin, Rob, Ronan, Eimhin, Aengus, Aidan, Barry, LN, Johnny, Colleen, Peter, Michelle, Steph, Dale, May… yeep, this could go on forever… Keep ‘er lit lads… grouphug

To the friends I have made through HoP and through this weird hobby/career thingy – Sy, Strugz, Ros, Rob, Nick, Arashi, Mike, Josh, B. Dan, Doro, Olivier, Julien, Das, Andrea, Dom, Dunc, Meg, Matt, Mr Chutney, Skully and Jon, Ed, Simian, Cole, Garthy, Gayle, Spanner, Mags and Firenice… and to everyone on HoP who works hard, in your own way, to keep the community together.

And finally… to the Girl With The Long Blonde Hair, whose name I didn’t get, who danced with my fire poi in Nelson, New Zealand. With only the corkscrew, and lots of beautiful movement, she made me rethink the whole ‘moves’ thing.

Anyways…. That’s enough…

Thanks for all the warm wishes…

Take care

Clare xx

PS: Yep, Drew… I still agree with the email I sent the day after I submitted the clip… it’s all about the fish biggrin

Keep on swimming, keep on swimming

PPS: So who's going to submit stuff for the Calendar? biggrin
