I used to play that game where, whenever I saw him on tv, I'd close one eye and pretend to squish his head between my fingers. Only because he was so ickle and tiny and cute though.

Damn, I feel bad for doing that now. frown

Poo...

Wait, Clairebe fancies the Hamster?!

offtopic Clairebe does NOT fancy the hamster, Clairebe thinks he is ickle and cute and would like to keep him as a pet in her pocket.

Anyway, I think this thread was supposed to be a 'oh no, hope he gets better soon' thread... Which I hope he does.

Well of course I hope he gets better!

Although, like Steve Irwin, I can't help but feel that if people put themselves into stupidly dangerous situations, they should expect consequences like this. Then again you could take that and apply it to those of us who play with fire - there's risk in anything, I guess.

Well, duh. Although I feel that Top Gear stunts usually present less of a risk than crocodiles and sting rays.

Yes, he put himself in a 'dangerous' situation - but he took a calculated risk and presumably had tons of safety people there. Sometimes things just go wrong.

actaully i've been reading on various news sites & in the paper today that the top gear safety is notoriously dubios, and the guy who currently holds the land speed record said that he was totally not trained & expereinced enough...which is sad.

anyway, not to talk doom & gloom, he seemed like a lovely guy & i really hope he's ok.

Yup but unfortunately for us caravan dwellers with crap/ limited tv we don't have brainiac...that combined with the fact I can't actually remember the last time I watched my own TV for something other than DVD's...

meh..

anyway...according to our local ish news last night he's doing a bit better.

Fingers crossed eh!

He's out of intensive care now and in a side room on a general ward...seems to be making a very speedy recovery!

Unfortunately though, the sugababes will be giving him a private bed side concert to "cheer him up"

It is thought his condition may deteriorate after this.

someone should stop them. Maybe they can sing for Jeremy Clarkson instead? I still don't like him.
