Firefox browser (Mmmmmmm)
Due to excessive use of stumble upon, I have a LOT of bookmarks. (thousands)

and I'd Like to have a fuction that would randomly give me one of my bookmarks.
Like stumbling my bookmarks

Anyone got any suggestions on how I could do this?

I'd also like a good bookmark manager, so I could sort them out.
and what is delicious?

Smiles and thanks

ubblol me too

i did vaguely organise them into folders, using the manage bookmarks tab in firefox, but once i've done that i never look at them again smile It's a good idea, and probably by the second or third view they'd be less interesting anyway, and you can delete them!

firefox has a great bookmarks export function where it makes a web page of all your links.

is a great resource for coding. You can use javascript to make a random number and shouldn't be too hard to make that number send you to a link coresponding to that number. There's probably lots of ways to do this but i only know how to make an array of all the links, then you geta random number, something like x = Math.random(1000), then you say link to myArray[x], and it'll send you to that link. There's probably a built in way to do this somehow.

is a very crazy site, i like it a lot. It's like a group bookmarks folder. I don' tuse it that much but when people find a good site they list it there and apply tags to it so you can look up all the eg 'flash' sites or whatever.

What about a favourites search function?

I think opera might have one, actually. *goes to look*

Yes. Yes it does.

Does that help?

Sorry if not, but i'm not 100% sure what stumbling is.

Though i might have just figured it out.

If you wanted to be tricky, you could get it to pop one up based on a certain date range. Say only bookmarks you haven't seen in the last 6 months will be eligable for choosing.

"Stumble Upon!" is a firefox extension where you can enter types of websites you would like to stumble upon and hit stumble and it gives you a random website, then you can rate them and stuff, if you can be bothered... or you just bookmark it and stumble again, which is why you get lots of bookmarks biggrin
