i need to remember to do something good next year. this time i wont contact musicians a month before i have to send it. and ill probably have a routine with a friend which we've been working on for a month. it'll probably be good by COL2007 time.

Good call! I'm not good enough to get a vid in there yet with the Poi, but I have produced a few choons that I think might be contenders! Mostly melodic psy-trance...

If one thing bugged me a bit about Col 2006 then it was to hear some of the music again that I know from watching Col 2005 dozens of times
I realise the copyright issues, but I guess if hop would spread word in time to all those DJs out there that fame and glory is in reach, a music competition might produce a few entries as well ...

I like this idea. Even some bands might like to let access to there music for the performers. Or DVD release.

And thanks so much to Gary Watson (my cameraman who filmed, processed, edited and got the DVD to me within two days of the deadline), and Dave Mo-Seph for letting me use his outstanding track Stranger - the most uber-double staffer/electronica genius I know... thanks lads
I hope that everyone who buys the DVD will find a clip they enjoy - there are so many different approaches, styles and ideas, I'm sure you'll find something
And for those interested, this is where the title of my vid came from:

Yep.. I entered one. I'm listed in the music by: section even though my video with my music isn't on the dvd. Tommi made the music for the RHD vid. That's why I was thinking also my contact vid would be on the dvd.. Next time maybe then.

Could it be possible since other clips of the same routine are already posted Malcolm disqualified it?
Or that its a specifically non fire/LED number it doesn't really count (ie. no circles of light)?

Well.. I don't really want to start guessing anything and don't need Malcolm to comment the disqualifying in anyway. But to answer your thoughts:
The routine was shot from my show in Singapore of which no videos have been posted anywhere yet. The entry had different music and was edited from 4 minutes to 3. And I feel the editing and new music made it a whole new routine and gave it a different storyline. And there was sockpoi vids on the dvd if I remember correctly.

I'm glad that RHD are on the DVD at all.
a twirling DVD without them is like a star wars movie without jedi and very large model spacecraft with little lights...
