Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourself, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous and talented? Who are you NOT to be?

Hey, I was at that workshop. good thing it wasn't on pole dancing, or my wife wouldn't have let me go. I wouldn't mind sitting in on a class or two, you know, for educational purposes.

Believe me, if you took up pole dancing you'd only end up with bruised thighs.
Anyone wants pole lessons I'll teach 'em, though I can't work out how the hell she manages to do poi at the same time.

Well, it's not actually poledancing and poi at the same time. It's more like a DVD on poledancing, with a bonus poi section at the end.

I won't put up a link, but she's been doing that kind of stuff...and much, much more...for years.

Google her (but please don't put up a link. I love her to pieces but it is not HoP friendly...at all!)

Isn't pole dancing like the new Taibo of workout classes? One of those 'edgy' aerobics classes taught at mainstream gyms.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

Interestingly enough, the woman who did the poi segment on that DVD did come up with a poi/aerobics combination, called poicercise, and was teaching it at a local women's fitness center.

I wondered how it would work, i foresaw a lot of tanglement with poi and pole... although also you could probably do some neat wraps and stuff around it... but then not having available arms would tend to limit the pole dancing part... i would've thought, not an expert or anything.

And yes poledancing is apparently quite a good way of keeping fit and improves self-confidence, although reports from an actual former-poledancer suggest that it also kills your feet. smile

So what was it again? Do a circle round the pole, knee down and move side to side, left foot forward... Erm... Hand on pole... This is hard! redface

Any links that work??
