Wow! What a cool film! I'm still havn't fully grasped it, but after the first viewing I'm pretty impressed. It's hard to describe, hope somebody else has seen it who could help, but I think people would enjoy it. Great music. It's of a GLBT theme, but that shouldn't prevent people from seeing it. I have to watch it a few more times I think.

Wow, side note, one of the actress's, Miriam Shor (who you'd swear was a man in the movie), was born in Mpls, MN. nifty!

One of the best films I have seen in a while - disturbingly funny, beautifui and alternative enough for any art-house critic!

was twisted how the last time Hedwig sees Luther he's eating a foot long, n the bass player kiked ass, jumping on the fat guy in the crowd..What I like is how the story is told, you learn most of the plot at the buffet tables Anyone else notice the gratuitous use of gummy animals? good props, they are

I kind of felt like I was Hedwig the other night because I was hanging out at this dance party in East Berlin with this older, black American guy and he was paying for me - kind of like a sugar daddy. Except I don't need to get a sex change....And I'm not going to marry him....And the wall isn't still up.....Still, it was kind of a trip.

Oh yeah, and I really love that movie. It has really great questions about gender, soulmates, and other really deep issues you wouldn't expect. Its kind of like this lesbian pirate movie I saw last week, GirlKing, but I think Hedwig is definitely better(even though it didn't have the random montage of stock footage clips from black and white pirate porns that I didn't know existed).

"The last time I saw you
We’d just split in two
You were looking me
I was looking at you
You had a way so familiar
I could not recognize
Cause you had blood on you face
I had blood in my eyes
But I could tell by your expression
That the pain down in your soul
Was the same, as the one down in mine
That’s the pain, that cuts a straight line down through the heart
We call it love."

Sorry, watched it again, rented it for like a week. Definitly some cool songs

Not really related, just thought I'd tell you all that as a child, I had a Weimerana (dog) called Hedwig....

...anyway, it's getting late and I'm getting delerious...

Cute, a Weimerana named Hedwig

Well, it's now early for me. well, scratch that, it's almost 11 am. eh, early enough

Did anybody see the musical on stage? I guess the backup singer, the woman who you could have sworn was a male, played the same role on stage as well, I wish it was still going around.

hehe, if you want it via computer I do have it, I have a full saved copy in my music folder for transfering to my mp3 player. you could burn it to cd from there. I'll be around this evening for a bit, this week overall will be pretty chaotic so I won't be online much. But if you have aim I could send it to you. if you so desire that is
