Which different poi have you/do you own?
(in historical order)
glowballz -broke so sent back (were crap)
football socks with tennis balls in
poi poi cobra 2-crap so threw the handles and string away, keeping the tennis balls and tails
Hop rainbow glowballs with nylon cord
Hop green socks with tennis balls, that now have 130gram juggling balls in
Hop monkey fist poi with oval chains and leather handles
2 dead glowsticks and 2 black shoe laces
love them all apart from the glowballz and poi poi 2 that were utter crap
What are yours?

A number of tennis-ball poi I made (left one pair on a train, gave away an other pair to my sister)
First set of fire poi I made from heat-resistat mats from B&Q
First set of kevlar fire wicks I made (and still have / use!)
Second set of kevlar fire wicks I made (still use these too - I like doubles!)
Original Hyperlights - Blue LEDs in one green in the other
Various pairs of sock poi - By far my favourite to spin (until HyperLights are ready of course!)
Mark 2 HyperLights - REALLY bright LEDs, a few patterns (the start of something magical
)
Mark 3 HyperLights - same as Mark 2 but with a custom PCB and running off 2xAAA's instead of 4xAA's (currently mounted in a small paint tin
)
[soon] Mark 4 HyperLights - same as Mark 3 but with a few hardware corections, an accelerometer, USB support and instead of a paint tin it'll be a rather sexy plastic ball *grin*

I have:

I love all these poi, they rock!
I also have a set of Kiwido tailed poi (these were my first set) which are nice (made of suedette) but the handles are a little small for my taste.
Finally I have a set of Sonic Stars colour change LED poi. They were slight seconds I got cheap. I find these a bit big and light, I think the chains are heavier than the poi, so I swapped them for cords from HOP which helped, but they are still a bit clumsy. I do like having different colour settings though, saved me the cost of buying lots of different combinations.
Next on my poi shopping list is fire ropes I think, but not for a little while yet.
I have:

I started with two 6" glowsticks on ribbon..
After I bought HoP's L.E.D. Blue Sock Poi
Then a pair of Oggpoi which I
'ed, but my damn neighbor threw them on the street and showed no love to them..

Keeping simple and cheap.
Training an day use poi made of fishermans string, cheap light chain from hardware shop and tennis balls, and a pair of fire poi made using same chain and .5m of 75mm kevlar per head. trainer's costed about 5€, fire poi some 14€.

vivica, i have the green hop socks aswell. (with rainbow glowballs in) my batteries are a big crap now but ive ordered a 60 more
To use you just wrap them around your hands or tie a knot or 2 in the ends. Ive tried knotting the end, putting a golf ball around them etc but i just leave with no knots or anything and wrap around, its easier. I'll upload a quick vid of myself using them in a minute. sorry for the rubbish quality.

2 baby teatowel practise doubles.
3 (one emasculated) mini fire triples. (irish ali)
3 large 1.5m fire triples. (irish ali.)
4 small 1m throwing pixie fire quads.
2 1.2m fire doubles, mini wicks.
2 1.2m glow doubles from glow toys.
2 1.2m practise doubles that used to be my fire doubles.
2 1.4m fat wicked contact doubles.
1 1.3m lonely double with a missing partner lost at ubereurope.
1 Titanium practise staff 1.5m.
1 Titanium normal wicked contact staff, 1.5m
1 Titanium uber wicked contact staff, 1.5m
1 practise contact staff, 1.5.
1 giant double ended broomstick, 1.6m.
poi:
1 set monkey fists.
1 set dodgy thai paper fire poi.
