Right,
Here it is,
I need a sure fire way to get a young ladys attention, i have never spoken to her, i don't know her name, nothing.

She works in a local music shop in town, so i can't go in there spinning fire to impress her and as she is at work i need somthing quick, smart and funny to catch her attention.

So beautiful people there it is, come on, i need you on this one!!!!

I was gonna say flowers as well - being V-D tomorrow and all.. but PK got there first..

all you would need to do is just walk stright in with the bunch of flowers - roses would be nice but don't go too OTT by getting 12 dozen or something.. that might be a little off putting and desperate.. but a few - with that nice white fluffy gyspophelia... put a little note in saying that you've seen her about and that you'd like to talk to her and get to know her.. but can't get up the courage to ask her on a date.. leave your fone number and ask her if she's like to do lunch one day.. say nothing when you give her the flowers.. give them to her smile and walk away.. oh it maybe an idea to put in the note, that if she's got a bloke he's a lucky guy and that you have only honerable intentions..
just in case..

you'd get a lunch date with me if you did that anyway..

I suggest this approach. First swallow all pride, then go up and say something along the lines of:

"Hi I ve got this weird feeling that we're supposed to meet."
This will prompt either a smile or a "Sod of I've got a bf."
If it's a smile follow it up with "wanna go for a coffee when it's your break?"

Two pieces of advice:

1) Represent yourself. Something that you'd do. If it's flowers, go for it. And V-Day is the perfect opportunity. Just be yourself. Not because of the stupid reasons they tell you growing up... But because you don't want to end up with a girl that's in love with who you're pretending to be. If you're romantic, BE ROMANTIC. If you're funny, be funny. Remember, you're still auditioning her too. If she doesn't like guys like you, you're better off finding that out early. And if she does, you're better off finding out that early too.

2) Whatever it is that you're going to do: DO IT. There's an old sports addage- "You miss every shot you don't take". Frankly, I think it's bad advice in sports but good advice in life. Take the shot T.H.

Worst case scenario: You're just as single as you are right now.

I reckon the full frontal assault with batteries of flowers might be a bit too much and cause a rapid retreat. If I wasn't a complete coward I'd go for the gentler approach - as it's a music shop she's gonna know a lot about music, and hopefully it's a proper music shop which makes starting a music based conversation easy. Ask to listen to something, ask for recomendations, etc... to sound her out. Then do the Thistle approach and plainly, simply ask her out.

All is not lost, surely. So it didn't work out "quite" to plan. But think of it this way, at least you didn't get knocked back.

Next time you go in there, try again. If you do end up going out, just think how chuffed she'll be when she finds out the effort that you've gone to.
