So have somehow managed to sign myself up for 5 days straight at work. Joy.
We have 2 new residants though, so that as brightend things up a bit. They're a married couple, moved in on the top floor. Lottie and Steven. I went in for a couple of hours yesterday by request by the boss to help them unpack. It seemed quite sad that from a house they had lived in for over half a decade, they only have enough space in their new room to bring 5 suitcases worth.
Yesterday they seemed fine. Liked me alot. Thought my piercings were interesting and seemed quite bemused that I have a wristband on from a 'holiday' that went I went on nearly a month ago.
Took them up breakfast this morning to find one very sleepy Lottie. Steven very much enjoyed his cooked breakfast, and despite making me and Vicky half an hour behind by cooking it for him, his face was a picture. His first morning in his new home and his eggs were cooked exactly how he likes them.
So as the morning drags on I pop in occasionally. Lottie is getting herself more and more wound up about little things. She showed me all the little things she's knitted over the years, and showed me pictures of her son. He died 2 weeks ago from cancer.
About 10am I knock on their door with some cups of coffee ready and waiting. Lottie has her back turned to me and is rumeging through a drawer.
I say "Lottie what are you looking for?"
She turns to me, tears streaming down her face and very quietly says "Happiness"
I gave her a hug and managed to decifer that 'happiness' meant glasses. 'Happiness' was in actual fact in her handbag..
This got me thinking that many of us interperet happiness in differant ways. We can find it in many places, but one things for sure its not in the back of a drawer filled with stockings and knickers.
But it can almost certainly be gained by a hug and a little bit of help...

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Little Angels
When God calls little children to dwell with Him above, we mortals sometime question the wisdom of His love.
