Ok, so the deal is, weekend meet, along the Wales/England border.

Dates: 29th Sept-1st October

Location: Court Farm Campsite , Llanthony, nr. Abergavenny for a minimal fee of £2 per person per night. 4 quid!! Two pubs within walking distance and a really old priory... Court farm have said they will cordon off half the campsite for camping and spinning, but no bonfires sorry!

All other information can be found on the wiki including a list of attendees definately and maybe, please add your name as soon as possible if you're coming because i need to let the campsite know!

Wiki is at borderpatrol.wikispaces.com. And contains also a space for arranging lifts. The nearest train station is Abergavenny and it's 15mins drive, so if you come by train at all, please put it on there, you WILL need a lift!

if anyone is coming by train, can you please please please let me know beforehand what time roughly you will arrive in abergavenny, because i am less than convinced that my phone will work!

Hope to see lots of you there!

Wow that looks awesome, lets go there!!

I'm probably up for thise (dates depending) but i think anywhere around the M5/M56 juction would make it super easy to get to, or just anywhere close to the M56. I'm sure there are lots of nice places if the Llanthony Priory doesn't work out smile

Let's relight this forum ubblove

cos i'm not sure about Llanthony for getting there, it's quite a way from the train station... unless we make it a combined poi/trekking in the black mountains meet... ? biggrin

That priory looks really cool, I reckon I'd venture up to that. How d'you pronounce 'Llanthony' anyway - if it's in Wales it must be harder than it looks wink

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I'll stick to spinning and leave the demolition of the place to Strugz.

Sagetree dude, thansk that's the campsite i stayed in before, i'm pretty sure... before everyone gets too carried away though, i should probably point out that they close the priory grounds at night, i seriously doubt they'd let a bunch of rag tag fire spinners in.... lots of space around about though, big fields! and a mountain... or a few.

So for everyone it depends on dates?? cos i didn't list them because i don't have a damn idea when it could be... I stuck August because whatever but figure everyone will be holidaying around that time, but in September is Falmouth and also i might possibly not be in the country for some part of that month but i don't know which part... is October too late???? Perhaps the first weekend when hopefully it won't be too cold or wet... although there is also the possibility of renting the bunkhouse/barn thing they have there...

either 30thSept/1st Oct or 7th/8th Oct...

feed back por favore, gives me lots of time to get meself organised, but if people preferred, it could probably be sorted for September at some point...

and Bov, it's pronounced Cl(with extra phlegm)an-tony, not sooo hard... smile

Dunc, i'm still not entirely sure where the M5/M56 junction is, but i think you're a bit far north, it's more South Wales border than North, still only about an hour away from you though...

biggrin

End of september/start of October would be great for me.. I'll be (hopefully) working a fair bit of september and vanishing from the country in October, and I normally have to work weekends..

But that does sound cool.. even if I am nowhere near the border..
