ok, so me and my other half decided to do a spontaneous camping trip tonight.
We want to camp near a good beach in the south of UK (prefferably not far from a town) that we can go and spin on.
Any suggestions for a good place to go for tonight or future spinny type camping trips?

I think I heard about this one in Gwithian in Hayle.. Just across the bay from St Ives. Tide goes out about 10pm and comes back in about 3-4am
I have NO idea where I got that from....

waxham beach in norfolk is a wicked spinning spot and the best thing is LOADS of hippys camp there for a month, having partys etc
maybe it could be another falmouth type meet

Polzeath down in Cornwall has a really nice beach, and some ace camping grounds.

Gwithian in Hayle is lovely, really huge space, bit hard to get to but really worth it. I used to go camping in Hayle with my parents when I was younger, we'd always end up there. It's really flat, so the tide comes in really quickly, but there's more than enough space to spin, even when it's really busy.
Recommended....

It's almost as bad as Hastings beach!
Syringes and broken bottles lying around everywhere, and when you go for a swim in the sea you come out with 6 toes, and an STI

Bigbury-on-sea has 3 excellent beaches
(where Nickwidds fire on the beach was held)

Aberystworth. they have lovely beaches. beautiful sceanery. well worth the trip to get there. so peaceful.

Polly Joke, Kenneck Sands, Perran Sands, Gwithian(obviously), Holywell Bay.
If you want something a little more *ahem* private then pixie cove, Prussia cove, are both really nice and secluded but a bit of a mission to get to.
If youdon't mind a stoney beach Durgan is really secluded, quiet, you don't get whinged at for having fires or anything on it and is pretty easy to get to.

Friend of mine is at uni in aberystwyth, he span staff on the beach busking a few times last year I think.
There're some really good rocks to climb up at the end of the beach from the statue, and a place to chill about halfway up a cliff face. You can see most of the bay on a good day from there. (and awesome twisty mountain roads on the way there)

ive just got back from Swansea beach. was doing some fire poi and fire breathing (first time fire - woo!!!) got some burns, but its all good. more peeps should come. had a fire, some beer/wine, chilled - awesomeness.
