i bought my fire poi a few months ago and i have been practicond with them ever since (i dont have any practice poi) and they've started to fray. the style of wich i have is "lotus" something. it's like a cathedral, but staggered (sorry i dont have a pic)...

should i trim off the frayed edges before i go for my first burn, or leave then as they are? is there anyway to fix them? ive heard regular white glue is good, but will it hold up when i light up??

please help?

...please?

Yo dude - cut them - dont pull the freyed bits they will just frey more.....

A good thing to do is cover them in PVA glue or wood glue (its the same thing) that protects the wicks loads and still lets them burn well.

making a practice set for new moves'll help the lesson this problem in the future.
