Posted: As most of you know their is a habit inside the European parliament that they move the whole pariament, including al the employees and almost all the paperwork that they need, ones a month from Brussels to Strasbourg. The only reason they do it, is because France wants it. 99% of the bill- about 200 million a year- is payed by the other European countries.
Some members of the European parliament from several different countries have started an action to stop this wast of money. They need one million signatures to get this subject on the agenda of the European commission.
They have at the moment about 130.000 signatures but they need a million. So please think about this, and if you want to support this action go to https://www.oneseat.eu
I wanted to tell you this cause I think it is a wast of our money. All the time you hear them say they need more money and they raise the tax when in meanwhile the spill our money on this kinds of silly things. As far as I know it hasn't any use
Thanks for your time and I hope we can stop this wast of money.
Live your life, the way you want to live it. So have fun. And be happy Love you nantheos

Seems very strange, especially considering how much respect is given to online petitions...

If you click the 'we support the initiative' button you'll find that this is an initiative taken by a Europarlementarian and it is supported by a further 40-plus parlementarians. Though I am also quite sceptical about the value of online petitions, I reckon that with this kind of high-level support this one might actually achieve something.
So thanks for posting Mylng, you should drop by in the Dutch thread again some time!
