Posted: i seem to remember a thread from not so long ago - im pretty sure it was on HoP, discussing ways to capture videos to download rather than having to stream from the net all the time.
Ive searched all the obvious forum sections - but cant find it for the life of me!! can anyone remember where it was?
otherwise, if im deluded and read that info somewhere else - does anyone have some good sources of info on the topic?

Posted: mplayer and vlc both have options to save a streaming file.
I don't know where the thread was, but you could just search google for it.
