before you start screaming and grassing me up to the mods (FRD;) ) i did do a search biggrin

this thread is about that day in your life where everythings going good, not a care in the world and time has slowed down so every moment seems just as good as the last. maybe it was a smile from a cute stranger or somebody unexpectedly being generous to you that made your day, here's an oppertunity to let others know what made your perfect day ( it has to of happened, no fiction please) ubbrollsmile

well today i had another driving lesson:D i love them but last week my instructor was really ill so had to cancle.

so it's been two weeks since i was out on the road, and today it was really quiet, we covered more in the lesson than expected which was good. i worried my instructor a bit. because it was so quiet i took a race line around roundabouts so i could keep the speed up ubblol they didn't know i rode a bike for 4 years.

then got home to find some mud, which was hoovered up wink , as where certain other things left over from the weekend biggrin ubblol then i found some beer.............so of course they perished, then......................i played some violent computer games, downloaded some wicked mixes and just generaly had a wicked day biggrin ubbloco

I'm a pretty positive, happy smiley dude so most days are pretty good by anyones standards, but two REALLY great weekends stick out as being the best in my life ever, one was around 10 years ago and the other was in March this year. They are both long stories and I do tend to waffle on a bit so please feel free to skip this post if ya like, it won't affect how BRILLIANT each weekend was for me biggrin

Weekend 1.

I lived in Mansfield and worked in Chesterfield, about 12 miles away, and normally commuted on the bus, but this weekend I was going to a wedding reception on Saturday and one of the very first V festivals at Warrington on the Sunday, so I had hired a car. Saturday night I arrived at the do and my boss asked me if I would drive his car to Sheff cos he was already a bit drunk and didn't wanna leave it in Chesterfield overnight, and another geezer I worked with, Mark, would follow me in his brand new TVR chimera and give me a lift back. The weekend before I had been on a rally driving course in Wales so jumped at the chance to batter my gaffers car! Hehe. It normally takes around 25 mins to get to his house, and I did it in 16, and had to wait for Mark to catch up. He let me drive HIS brand new back, cos he wanted to pick up some tips on how to drive in um, a sporty fashion!

I arrived back at the wedding with a MASSIVE grin on me chops. then when I got to say hello to the happy couple, I felt all warm n gooey! I am not normally into the whole institution of marriage as a rule, but one look at this couple and ya could tell a mile off how much in love they were and how happy they were....awww.

At the end of the reception 5 of us didnt want the night to end. after a brief chat we decided to go a casino...first and only time I've ever been to one and it was cool. I bought a tenners worth of 25p chips and bet on roullette for a few hours, getting free tea and coffee all evening and chatting to a BEAUTIFUL lass i worked with called Kerry whom I thought was around 50 million miles out of my league but who I was starting to think was flirting with me! WOOHOO!

At the end of the evening I had one chip left, I asked Kerry to kiss it for luck and pick a number. I'd never seen ANYONE kiss ANYTHING as sexily as she kissed that chip....she put it on 17 and it won....around 9 quid!...I said pick another number and we'll do it again. She was reluctant cos it was a tenner but I told her I had had a great time and even if I lost it was no biggy cos I woulda spent more than that if we'd 'ave gone clubbing. She picked 36 and it won AGAIN! I had won around 325 quid! I BEGGED and PLEADED with her to pick another number and make it 3rd time lucky but she was adamant, so I put the whole lot on 17, her first number...and it bloody won AGAIN!!!!!!!!! I won over ELEVEN grand!!!! woooooHOOOOOOOOOOO...

We split it between the 5 of us, I copped off with her that night...and we were together for 8 years and loved every minute we were together!

On the sunday I picked up my mates and we headed for warrington. it was an AMAZINGLY hot summer day....gorgeous it was....all the bands were great...gary numan...long pigs....stereolab...supergrass....all ace...then the headliners...pulp, came on.

My fave song by them is babies....I LOVE that tune....they played a BLINDING set...but no babies... frown ...came on did a great encore....but once again no babies....

Now I KNOW I had had an AMAZING weekend....so even if what was about to happen DIDNT happen...I could hardly complain....but as we started to walk away from the stage I felt a WEE WEE wee WEE bit disappointed they hadnt played my fave song. Then we heard the wonderful opening melody, turned around....they had snuck back on stage...Jarvis said " ya dont think we'd let you go without playing this do ya..." and BANG!!!! the whole brilliant amazing mind blowingly good weekend focused on me all in that moment and I cried my lil eyeballs out with happiness while Pulp played Babies for me and no one else!. To this day babies is my " doh, bad day, I need to cheer up" kinda song.

WHAT a weekend!

I never ever thought I would ever feel as perfectly joyful as I did that moment ever again.

then one weekend a coupla months ago topped even that!

but this post is long enough....and I shall tell you about that another time.......

Tra for now peeps xxx

It's smashing to be back x

My perfect day was Friday. I got up went out with a mate. I got my hair done. It feels great! Went to a pet shop and bought 5 goldfish. They are called Tooti-Fruiti, Fruit Salad, Barbara, Bob, and Fred. Tooti-Fruiti has a magic white tail biggrin

Then I was waiting for the tram and this cute guy started chatting to me, and told me he liked me. Buzz of the day.

Then I went home and got all shnazzed up and went clubbing in town. Danced with all of my mates an met some cool new people. Then walking home I fell out with my mate, and I thought I was doomed, young girl alone in city centre at 3 am, you can imagine the headlines (lol).

Then this guy came up to me and started talking to me, my first thought was, 'oh god leave me alone', until I chatted back and he was really sweet. He walked me all the way home then we kissed in the rain at the end of my street. It was totally magical.

Loving life at the minute. smile

I had a fantastic day on Sunday. It was my night off and I was so excited about not having to go to work.

Mum and I have never gotten along really well, but on Sunday she took me shopping (her shout, too!) and we were talking, giggling, and most importantly - *not* fighting. It was such a good day. We brought lunch to take home for us and my brother, then headed back to the shops again!

Later on at night time when she was lying in bed watching TV I came up and joined her and we talked some more.

It might not seem like much, but it's a huge step in mine and Mum's relationship! smile

.All things are beautiful if we take the time to look.

I can't think of perfect days, but I can think of a really good weekend I had recently (Id say one day, but they all blurr together)

Easter weekend I went hiking with a few hundred other Venturers on an event called Hoadley Hide. During the day you hike and do stunts run by rovers, and at night hang out with venturers in the VOCs. It was awesome as we were hiking in a gorgeous area (Blackwood Trentham). I got to see friends I hadn't seen in ages, including rovers, venturers and leaders. I found out how much my unit cares for me (they carried my pack on the last day as I'd hurt my back). My ex spokle to me face to face properly for the first time since we'd broken up a year ago. I made new friends, including a few of the metal heads. I learnt 3 beat weave. Met a guy who can do the 5 beat weave, but not the 3 beat weave. It was just a well rounded weekend. (one of the metal heads, the guy who taught me to weave, is a member here now, but never posts)

I'm not sure about a perfect day, but one that was so lovely (i'll omit some of the bad bits tho, like my boss calling to arrange a time to meet to fire me)
Woke up in the morning next to someone who will always make me smile. (went to uni, but lets forget that part) and spent the afternoon at a friend's house spinning and juggling away in the sun.

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

I guess my perfect day happened about 6 months ago..

Woke up on my friend's couch after a big night of boozy goodness, and lounged around for a few hours with my fellow couch inhabitants. Then we strolled off to a local cafe, had big greasy breakfast and bloody marys for breakfast (about 2pm) and then bought beer and sat on the beach outside my friend's door.

It was so nice we didn't leave the next night.. Or the next.. Just chilling, laughing and chatting with people I know so well its frightening.

waking up in a tent so hot i have to pull my severly hung over body to the door way and throw myself outside, only to look around to see everyone else in the same position fast asleep. Fall asleep to the smell of bacon being cooked under the warm sun. Be woken only to see the most prefectest bacon sandwich just for me. juggle all day drink and dance all nite. repeat all week

Does this site actually exist? Or am i talking to all my other personalities?

Perfect days... the entire week of Woodford folk festival over new years
Just the memory makes me tingle. Twas like I was bouncing around in a little sparkly bubble if joy the entire festival. So many wonderful people, so much good music and a 24 hour non stop circus jam biggrin

What if I should fall right through the centre of the Earth and come out the other side where people walk upside-down?!

I also have to add one really hot day in romania where we all just chilled in the sun and under the tree by the lake and then had a waterfight on the terrace of the pub in the evening (try explaining THAT one to your host mother! ubblol)

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey
