I've been playing with poi for a couple of years now, and thoroughly enjoy fire poi! I was telling a friend ( who had never seen firepoi before) and it and was telling him that i'd heard you can get chemicals that change the colour of the flame... so he turns up with some kind of chemical concoction a friend of his had made up, and told me it made green fire..
i was a little unsure of the safety issues, but he assured me all would be well... and it truely was! GREEN FIRE!!!! it looks really cool if you have one poi red and the other green!
(I dont know what he put in the chemicals, but they worked!)

There's plenty of threads to find in the Technical Discussion forum on coloured flames, what to use and the safety issues.
Using the search function with things like "coloured flame" or similar varients shall surely produce many results, I remember there being a detailed thread on the many different colours and how to produce them somewhere.

There was a post on here a while ago about this new oil for paraffin lamps that you can mix in without having to add meths etc.
