ok well the puppet (inside the glass box) at Blackpool isnt a clown but that thing freaks me out....while its moving around and flailing its arms incoherently. and its laughter sounds like death itself eek, I hate those kinds of amusements...and whenever I see it in person or on Tv...i cant help but feel theres something errie with that puppet...something aint just right....

Real life clowns are ok....bah but that thing needs to be burnt down. It aint right. *hides in a corner rocking back and forth* muttering* frown

I'm sure its classified as a phobia biggrin clownaphobia?

I give hope to others but I keep none for myself.

No stupid at all. Clowns are evil looking things. As Gothfrogett says, its Coulrophobia
And a perfectly rational response to a bizarre and scary phenomenon. eek

exactly

the thing that gets me about clowns are...

1 you have no idea who they really are under the make up
2 why do they have to wear masses of make up anyway
3 the eyes and that stupid huge smile
4 the fact that they use "I'm a clown" to get away with jumping out on you, with no warning, with a fricken feather duster or one of those annoying flowers. If any other member of the public jumped out on you and scared you they would get arrested.... Apparently clowns have the right to do this without you shouting at them because they are a clown. (personal experiance)
5 why do they have big shoes or feel the need to wear them.

CLOWNS ARE NOT CLEVER OR FUNNY

on a side note i am ok with mime's, jesters etc its just the clowns that freak me out ubbloco

I don't know....mimes are pretty freaky too.

If you shoot a mime, should you use a silencer?

Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

those things in the boxes are freaky, even the non-clown ones, the one in the film Big was freaky also. and ventriloquist dummies also. But clowns, at least in the majority of cases you can see the muscles moving underneath the makeup, unless its wearing a mask... so not so freaky...
