I'm a chili's fan but i only found out about their new album yesterday, whats it like? I quite liked By The Way, but BloodSugarSexMagic was by far their best album, in my opinion smile

It`s hard to name the best album.. they all have some awesome songs on them.. I can`t really describe the new album, they`ve still got the same style tho smile

naming their best is tough but when pushed ill always go for BSSM. But if u listen to SA you can hear that theyve kinda gone back to that stylee aswell as experimenting to their newer ideas.
I mean you compare to their older stuff you can really tell that their quality just gets better and better. take ants voice its amazing now!

damnit! i am a chili freak!

a tad off-topic here but theres a huge storm outside and im soo excited about it! proper fork lightning and everythin!!!!! smile

If you don't listen before you'll get to hear it in the car on the way to firetoys Jo smile Or maybe we should do disc one on the way there and disc two on the way home?

Aparently the single for Dani California has three non album tracks on it from the mysterious non existing third disc wink

Let's relight this forum ubblove

well, I'm hoping it's a return to form... I dunno if you were being serious or taking the p*ss, afghan... but I kinda agree

I switched off after BSSM... after that, they seemed to lose their funk

is it any differant to their other albums? i find RHCP souns realy realy samey. and from a musicians point of veiw, its recycled chord sequences and rythms. but it still works. although im not a huge fan.

Just call me Pop.

wow, really? I always *used* to like the chili peppers, because that's exactly what they weren't... exactly the same as everyone else spitting out song after song from the aural sausage factory...

however... as I said, I've paid them no attention since blood, sugar, sex, magic... so maybe their more recent stuff is a bit more cookie cutter?

I just listened to mother's milk yesterday... there's no way you could call that "samey"...

its wierd but i think about each album and all of them are pretty much different to me! honastly never thought about that before!

with SA you can kinda hear general ideas from other albums but its still pretty different from the others.

each album is completely different. i've found that as time passes, their music mellows and chills out a bit, which I find is good because I think their fans probably chill out a bit too.
One Hot Minute, Mother's Milk and BloodSugarSexMagic were great when I was a teenager, but now I listen to Californication and By The Way a lot more. Freaky Styley and the self titled album were a bit too surreal for me. I've yet to hear the new album. There's a new Pearl Jam album out at the moment which I really want to hear too. Decisions decisions!!

i think it alright, hasn't got me that hooked on it yet though.

it did however make me discover some John Frusciante solo stuff, which i am thoroughly enjoying. what an odd man he is!

im being serious, flood their veins full of skag and they may rekindle their funk, but right now they are on the grey path to nothingness, and sobriety
