hi, im busy feeling like an idiot for not knowing a few things - but i could just share my idiot feeling with everyone else and maybe someone can answer me (feel free to laugh behind my back at me being an idiot - im used to it)

I cant leave home till midafternoon on thursday, is arriving late (ie arriving at hayle station about midnight) a problem - ie too late for the nice campsite owners? and i dont know how i would get from the station to the campsite - any suggestions?

other than that its travelling overnight and arriving friday morning - still with the getting from the station problem and having to be disturbed by going to bed on a train (it just seems wrong - falling asleep and drooling on the commuter next to you - YES! - going to bed - NO!)

this seems suspiciously like proper camping - as in no food tent (like play), no boy scouts to beat up and steal their sandwiches (and i wonder why i didnt get my guides camping badge) and no takeaways (the only fending for myself i manage as a student!) Am i correct in thinking this? and will i survive 4 days on pringles?

do we go home on the sunday or the monday (the 17th is sunday but people seem to be mentioning going home on monday) im confused!!

And can i have a badge? i would like to know who other people are it would be nice if they knew who i was - especially as im no good at names!

Thats about all that is confusing me - and ive spent two weeks trying to figure it out already so please help me other nice, friendly, loverly peeps!

I now want to insert bouncing smiley things - but it makes my computer have errors - or have a witty signature - but i havent written one yet - so i'll just shut up instead!

Rainbow girl:

Okay, feeling a bit delicate today, so bear with me...

If you're arriving in Hayle late thurs/early friday there may be somebody around to pick you up from the station, but depending on what time you'll be arriving at the campsite i would have thought friday morning would be better.

Food wise there is a pub just over the road, a cream tea place on site, and a shop that does basics.

Also there will hopefully be a pizza bloke coming on the friday, and possibly a fish and chip van at some point, but I'm still working on that one.

Going home is whenever you want it to be, as long as you ay for it. Also make sure ypu put yourself on the wiki, so that we have a rough idea of numbers.

As to the badge question Rainbowgirl, the reason I started making badges was because I'm utterly rubbish at remembering names, so yes you can have a badge. Do you just want "Rainbowgril" on it or would you prefer to have your real name on it too?

I'll send it to Gayle with all the others and you can collect it from her tent sometime after you arrive. You'll be able to easily find Gayle and Neal's tent as it will be the biggest one there and probably have "Stoner Mansion" hung up over the door... or is it "Stoner Palace"? Pffft I forget...see what I mean about names and forgetting them.

umm you've definately got your wires crossed somewhere neon...rolleyes

Anyway, personally I'd go for Falmouth, but then i would really have a choice.

If i was unbiased I'd probably still go to Falmouth for the precise reasons Neon stated.

If its any consolation my work are also being lame and i can no longer have the whole week pff either.. frown

The most i can blag is the friday and the monday.

Still gonna try and go to Bristol for a couple of days though, drive up after work on the friday.

CLAIRE?!!! IS THAT YOU?!!

bounce bounce2 bounce bounce2 bounce bounce2

The best (cheapest) is National Express about 0330am Thursday getting down to Plymouth at about 1230 then a train from there to Hayle.

If you can find someone to drive down with in Livepool join our convoy!

or just go to the wiki list on the first page of this thread for a list of lifts offered...

It'd be good to see you there Claire! hug
