I just kind of wanted to find out...and also to see what people want to learn and if anyone else is silly enough to learn languages in differnet catagories...

I know: English, Latin altho it's rusty.
I am learning: Japanese, Mexican Spanish
I want to learn: Welsh, Russian, Porteguese, German.
I also might like to learn: French, Thai, Czech, Modern Greek.
but i recognize that might be a little ambitious.

Lemme know! Kyri

Vale, Hablo Espanol, porque lo estoy estudiando en la universidad...

My first language is English...

je peut parle un petit peu de francais... and can manage alright whenever I'm there, but I get it mixed up with spanish quite often.

I can understand a bit of Italian (Living with Italian girls at the moment helps)

The next language I want is Deutsch. it's the only way I'll be able to communicate properly with my girlfriend's family... smile

I dream in English mostly, but if I've been speaking a lot of spanish, that's the language my dreams come in... When I can remember them...

Maybe one day soon, they'll come in German...

main language: English
can get by in: French (with the aid of a lot of gessturing)
can buy necessary items in (but not really make conversation in) Greek (very rusty) Chinese (improving due to practise: but I can only read about 5 characters) Italian (much better at reading it than speaking it)
can just about understand written Latin (to the extent of reading gravestones and getting the gist of someone's life: very rusty)

Grow up in Basque and Spanish. I´m also kind of fluent in English. Well; in spoken english cos my writing skills still crap.
I also studied a bit of french and german, but can´t remenber any.
Also studied latin in high school. Pretty easy to understand when reading it, but no idea of writing or speaking.
And I kind of understand Portuguese and Italian, (if the accent isn´t hard), at least enough to go around those countries and be able to get lost.
Upps!! And I also kind of understand french basque, but just sometimes,..

Amazed of how many people is into Japanese!! I would love to learn some!

I'm pretty fluent in gibberish and nonsense, does that count??

I can understand German if I'm reading it or it's being spoken to me but I can't speak it back anymore. I might get a bit more practice if I get the job I went for this week though as it involves a fair amount of travel over there.

I've always fancied giving Spainish a try as well.

My first language is English, but I can speak a little French (did GCSE french a few years back so I know enough to generally get by but I can't remember how to conjugate all the irregular verbs), a little Spanish (GCSE again, but I found it easier for some reason than French, plus my sister lives in Spain so it's handy) plus I can understand a fair bit of Creole but can't speak it.

Anyone who knows me knows I am very proficient in Gibberish. So much so I've managed to convince people I am speaking in an actual language.

Though I wouldn't mind brushing up on a little French... smile
