The thread title says it all. I've just managed to chip my brand new acrylic cj ball. I just want to cry right now. I've only had the ball two weeks. Does anyone know of a way that I might be able to polish them out?

Great!
now you can practice properly without worrying about hurting it, i recon everyone should drop all thier acrylics as soon as they buy them.
dont worry, you dont notice chips when the ball is moving, and generally peaple are to enthralled to notice anyway.

I agree - the first chip or scratch in an acrylic is a good thing - it lets you practise more.
Not many other people share this sentiment though it seems.
I know the polish that's used for polishing lawn bowls stuff works a treat though. Unfortunately, I can't give you any more specific details - I've seen it used but never used it myself.

I bent over a lil to much and .-"-bounce-"-.-"bounce"-. right on the concrete. 3 nice little nicks in it. Pissed me off at first but after that, I didnt care bout dropping it anymore.

yeah i designated my first two as learning balls and dont care too much what happens to them. in fact one of them got shattered into two pieces, and glued back together - it still works great!

Acrylic is absolutely beautiful. Especially for things like Edisons Enigma and Fingertip Flurry. Plus I really love the weight on them.

My Mum has this thing for polishing fingernails that's like a cuboid with one side that's quite abrasive, one less so, one even less and then one that doesn't feel rough at all. Haven't tried it on an acrylic but I recon it'd work. Cheap too. Failing that I've heard T-cut works a treat.
