1. now that the world isn't ending, it's love that i'm sending to you.

2. I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend

3. I never thought it would come to this

4. I couldn't wait, till i got home, to pass the time in my room alone

5. I just want you to know who I am

6. She fell in love in the first place

7. I would burn for you
Feel pain for you

8. I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry

9. So quiet that I finally woke up
If you're sad then it's time you spoke up

10. I can let a lot of things that you say go, I could never let another day go

11. He doesn't have a clue, but he fakes it anyway

12. did you see me walking by
did it ever make you cry?

13. can't forget, we only get what we give

14. do you have an opinion?
a mind of your own?

15. animals and children tell the truth and never lie
which one is more human there's a thought now you decide.

16. don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are

17. Lately, 'been thinking 'bout u baby
Just sittin' away, watching the days go by

18. All the lies they always told you
all the love you never knew

19. They said, I'll bet, they'll never make it
but just look at us holding on

20. I walk upon heights, and I step to the edge
to see my world below

21. It's no surprise to me I am my own worst enemy

22. Maybe you would understand, why i feel this way about our love

23. If I can see it, then I can do it
If I believe it, there's nothing to it

24. For the life of me, I cannot remember
what made us think that we were wise and we'd never compromise

25. and the least they ever gave you was the most you ever knew

26. the moonlight shines down onto stellar peace

27. everyone's telling everyone lies

28. cinnamon and sugary and softly spoken lies
you never know just how to look through other people's eyes

29. It's gonna itch and burn and sting
do you wanna see what the scratching brings?

30. Hate us cause you'll never get that far

31. Now that I'm miss thing, Now that I'm a zillionaire
you scan the credits for your name, and wonder why it's not there.

32. It's just easier then dealing with the pain

33. Scars are souvenirs you never lose

34. Even though the moment passed me by, I still can't turn away

35. The deeper you stick it in your vein,
the deeper the thoughts there's no more pain

36. Finally I figured it out, but it took a long long time
Now there's a turnabout, maybe 'cause I'm trying

37. Everybody wants charm, and a smile, and a promise

38. If I am only here to watch you as you suffer, I will let you down

39. It's over now, I'm cold, alone,
I'm just a person on my own

40. Glory, beyond the cheap colored lights

**Thank you for reading my random quotes from song lyrics. For those of you with an insane knowledge of music or copius free time- i will offer an award (not sure what yet) to the first person (In a reasonable amount of time) who can tell me the artists and song names for each song. most were at least given radio play in america- a few have never been noticed by anybody, but all (save perhaps one) are definetly availible online! So have fun.**

^Btw- sugestions for award are also accepted here^ This is gonna go on a new thread, actually^

I'm Bad at this, I havn't a clue on most of these

These are a bit easyer;

"And i don't think i'm better than you, but i don't think i'm worse."

"But there is nothing like looking at your own history in the faces of your old friends."

"he strikes out at me when im within reach, but he reaches for me when i draw the line."

Hint: all these song lirics are from the same artist.

Incidently - was I right?

lol, ok, yes, there are quite a few typos. and you gave a fine answer for # three, i was willing to accept a few.

i just found some of my own typos, the more accidental ones. ok, one more check durbs....

I'm going to be nice and presume "suffers" = "surfers"

ok, i'm finally satisfied and ultimetly amused. i guess i fucked up the lyrics a few times on this, which isn't totally fair.... but one time you thought i did, i didn't! but there's another song, same name, similar lyrics, but i'm reasonably sure it's a remake, looking at times.... *shakes head* that's really funny. i'll still come up with something for you now.... but do you know which song i'm talking about? I'm really amused by this!

And that's supposed to be a clue?!

Well Duncan Sheik is kind of obscure, so are Better Than Ezra, K's Choice and Sister Hazel.

But I've checked all those and I think they're right.

this is really funny - somehow these quotes really nail down some of what's going on in my own weird life.
other than that, all my cd's been stolen and no $$ to even get one new one

Why?
