Hello everyone,

The Firegathering is on again this year with a new venue and a bigger capacity. There's some really great live music, cabaret and workshops in store so hopefully some of you can make it. For anyone who doesn't already know; The Firegathering is a music, spinning and circus skills festival with a really great vibe. Check out the website for more info:

Damn, i can't make it there this year. Living over in melbourne for a while and have officially run out of cash. Had a great time there the first year it was on. Learnt loads, taught loads. Had a fabulous weekend. Also i've heard a rumour that my favourite brighton band are gonna be there. Bad Science rock, so good to spin too.

The firegathering gets 2 sphercular thumbs up from me.

You could always fly me to teach if you like wink haha

Much love to the firegathering crew,

until next time,

matt

I know... I just realised I had time off, and I had already decided to go somewhere for whenever my payrise comes through (lazy Uni admin means I'll get it paid back from September 05 ubblol), so... hmmmm.... might just take a plane down south smile

I've never been to southern England anyways smile

I’m afraid we’re unable to take payments at the gate, only those who’ve pre-registered will be granted access to the site. We also cannot guarantee there will be places left that close to the event as we have a strict capacity. Please make sure that you’re all fully registered before turning up so as to avoid putting our gate crew in the awkward position of turning people away.

More acts have been confirmed:

Bunty Vs. Chikenshit, MAB , Big Hairy Band and Shambolica

+ there will also be Capoeria workshops

We are also encouraging people to bring Fancy dress (dress up smart or just plain silly) Don’t worry about mucking up your glad rags we have secured real flushing toilets instead of the the usual porta loos.

that would be sweet. the other people i was in the circomedia bjc show with were most put out when i got a big cheer just for walking on stage. having lots of people in the audience who know you and are prepared to clap regardless of what you're doing certainly makes performing easier. wink
