Posted:I am going to become an 'Acoustic Emission Field Engineer' this summer, though I am sure if someone asks what I do , and I tell them that they are going to look at me blankly and make up their own version of what I do....

I just wondered what other crazy job titles people have and see if anyone one here on HoP can guess what that person actually does,.... so:

What is an Acoustic Emission Field Engineer?

A beer and a hug to who ever guesses first

or tell me this is a rubbish idea that has been tried and failed before (I searched I tell you, I searched)

Acoustic Emission, like seismology (eathquakes) put sensors on things and pick up vibrations of them breaking/coroding and then work out where they are coming from, like earthquakes....
the word acoustic totally misleading
SO i will go round listening to stuff to see if it is breaking/coroding

obviously you technically access tubes silly man... or maybe you access technical tubes... though why you'd want to do either i don't know... what's in the tubes?

But i happen to know you're a scaffolder cuz you told me yesterday, or at least you were... or something. so since Mr rave is absent i shall award the prize to matty b on his behalf.
