TICKETS UPDATE 11th April 2006

==============================

TICKETS ARE NOW ONSALE!! bounce You can follow this link to the online Shop to make your purchase. If you buy a ticket with the forthcoming DVD you will get a £3 discount. Please note that the price of £25 will only be valid until the 13th June

Finally, we have a venue for play biggrin

Thanks for being so patient, the location for PLAY is now confirmed as being at Fordhall Farm, Market Drayton, Shropshire. TF9 3PS

The gates will be open from 10am Thursday 22nd June until 6pm Monday 26th June (yes that's FIVE days biggrin ) and will cost the princely sum of £25 in advance and £30 from two weeks prior to the festival. The tickets will be on sale from Sunday 2nd April right up until the event. The ticket price covers all facilities and events once onsite (bar, food & drink etc excluded of course) all workshops, the show(s), the childrens creche area etc etc etc

A beautiful organic farm set in the countryside (although 5 minutes from the town of Market Drayton) that will make for the most wonderful setting for this years (and hopefully many more) PLAY Festival.

(Please visit the Fordhall Farm website, they need to raise £600,000 by July 2006 to stop this beautiful fertile place from becoming yet another industrial development, if you can help their cause please do so hug )

It has great links to the M6 motorway via the A53 and for non car users we will post all info about the local transport situation asap. There isn't a train station that's particularly close but we will be laying on a PLAY Bus to make collections to/from the station as often as possible to help everyone out. There may be a very small charge for this (ie a quid or two) to cover the cost of the driver etc.

I will keep this post updated and of course keep your eyes on the PLAY Website and forum for the most up to date information.

If you could keep your questions in the PLAY Forum we'd much appreciate it as it will help us keep some control and ensure we answer as many as possible. It'll save Malcolms badwidth a little too.....

Hope to see you all there!

Niko (sp?) had the frisbee, last I saw it, and I think I was the last to leave the game.

Get The Lock Up back next year, they were brilliant! And having to leave Tim's 'staff cartwheels' workshop early because I couldn't do one-handed cartwheels has inspired me to practise wheeling about in my garden all year so I can actually learn the tricks next time. Excellent all round!

Thanks to all of you for being so damn cool!

I hope I won't be such an unfamiliar face next time ( confused )

As well as (re-)introducing 'draw' - 'bang!' into the proceedings, I thought I'd try something else..

What's the funniest thing you saw at Play this year?

(Mine has to be the 'My name is Joe' wind-down at the contact poi workshop, followed closely by the language workshop battle bout)

Hope everyone has a safe trip home, thanks again smile

Play was absolutely f...ing incredibly awesome. I loved every minute of it. My only regrets were being so shy about trying to meet some people, and somehow missing Ros's movement workshop (I got back late from giving a load of people a lift to the showers).

Polarity - thank you SO much for trying to fix my poi, I got an amazing suprise from HoP when I got back, they'd read my customer feedback and have said they'd send me a replacement glow ball =)))

Sandy - yours staff's awesome m8, really hope you can sort your promo vid out again too.

Rob - running kanga boot bungi nunchuka's...lol, absolutely jedi man smile I'll get vid's photo's available as soon as poss.

Vixen - sorry for the Swindon mixup wink where you live's lovely, been there a few times.

Beth - really looking forward to you coming back and helping you as much as I possibly can with the circus stuff.

Mico, Carola, Kay I love you guys, so glad you were there.

Ros - I'm not the only one, everyone's fallen in love with your homemade Poi smile

Bluecat - fantastic shows, craziest tricks, pleasure to meet you, great group name to remember to recommend to ppl too smile

Step - you may have been a year rusty, but I've always wanted to learn ropedart & whip, my eternal thanks you mad pegging freak smile

Sarah, Natalia - beautiful people, lovely hoop skills Nat smile

Sam (soundtech), other Sam, Jezza (ta loads for the socks \o/ ) , Jess (I owe you Branston wink), Sye, Seye, Vicki, Pod, Luke, Eliot (sick at it with the staff man, you've got the spirit to be great) , Anna, Michael, Yoni (mad poi), (Ninja) Merlin, Rory (other names cool tongue), & anyone who's names I've forgotten (really sorry, it's all been a bit mad smile) really looking forward to next Play and seeing you all again, I wish it was 6 monthly or sooner :oD

Come up and grab me/say hi if you remember me, my eyesights pretty piss poor without my glasses!

I really think there should have been a Hop username roll call one morning smile

Looking forward to news on the record attempt too btw. When everyone lit up... that was one of the most amazing, awe inspiring things I've seen....ever. Just wow.

Dunc - thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you.

'Twas most fun. And then some. And I still have no idea who most people are, a few more Play's should help though.

Still sleepy, but I no longer smell, which is good. Though for some inexplicable reason I am in work despite being on holiday. Fool.

Thanks for rescuing me bucket Strugz, unfortunately you hadn't materialised when we left yesterday. ubblol

And thanks to polarity for teaching my modular origami. This is probably now going to take over what little space is left in my flat.

Was sooo good to see so many lovely people again.

Now I have to go sort out the bees which swarmed yesterday resulting in 8 messages from my mum on my phone when I switched it on this morning. Oops.

Mony of these -> hug to everyone.

My brain hurts frown

Sorry to anyone who I drunkenly giggled at in the early hours of the morning (Meg - I have a vague idea that this comment should be aimed in your direction).

I've learned many silly things and pretty much nothing constructive.

The whole weekend is a bit hazy but from what I can piece together...

Will - Congratulations on realising who I was on monday morning wink
Chris (dub) - Hope you're feeling better dude.
Strugz - Next year I guess you'll be leaving the driving to someone else wink
Cole - Hearing you telling the people in your workshop about Hugo's inverted stall trick made me laugh. I still cant do it! That boy is not normal.
Ravehead - good to meet you man. I'll be seeing you in a forest some time soon no doubt biggrin
CrazyHippyChic (I think) - I'll let you guys know when I'm in Stoke and sort stuff for a big manchester bbq smile

A general big thank you to everyone that camped with us.
Same to everyone who didnt.
