how much: free entrance, accomodation & breakfast eek biggrin

where: Belleville parc, Paris center, Metro (tube): Belleville, Pyrénnées, or Couronnes

flyer: https://maniballe.net/FICHIERS/BHB2006rvb.jpg

(phat file !!)

I've met a lot of HoP-ers through the past few years, and everyone allways said that they'll have to come to Paris one day !!

Therefore, this is The Right Opportunity for you spinners to invade sunny Paris sunny welcome ubbrollsmile

I'm a member of Paris juggling association: "les ballapapass " which has been organizing "Balles Habilles à Belleville" (the convention) for the past 9 years.

This year we have the opportunnity to make the night-shows & open-stage in a very close artistic-squat ("La Générale"), where we'll be able to provide everyone with a nightime place to juggle & to accomodate everyone for FREE (so bring your own sleeping-bag)

As every year we'll have lawns to juggle, an amphitheatre for shows, sunny & warm weather warrantied by MeteoFrance (35°C & no rain for the past 8 years), and loads of French girls !!! ubblove ubbloco biggrin ubbrollsmile

Here's a glimpse of the current program:

==> daytime juggling, circus & street-art shows:

- this year, as our main international headline, we are proud to announce:

" Rubber Heart Duo ", staves spinning & juggling show bounce

- "Liugi & Gino", socially-involved juggling show

- "Xavier", automate/robotic show

- "Pich", contact-juggling show

& a lot more shows to be announced (we're still in the selection process)

==> concerts:

- "Balbazar" orchestra

- "Par la gauche"

& a lot more gigs to be announced soon

==> indoor night shows (to be announced soon)

==> all-night-long open-stage & renegade

==> juggling olympics

==> free breakfast

==> workshops

==> make-up & hair-undressing stands

==> Tale-teller brigade & magic close-up

& more

I've already got some confirmation from some of the best German & Irish spinners coming, so book your flight/eurostar/thalys tickets early, as the prices are still dead cheap & this convention 's gonna be HEAVY

Looking forward to see you spin / juggle / chill / sunbath / do the open-stage in Paris cool weavesmiley juggle beerchug ubbloco peace

grouphug

Olive

ps> let me know if anyone wanna come longer (extended week-end option) as I can organize some extra accomodation through the Paris firespinning community !!!

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry to have been away - that long - from the thread, but I've been very busy these days !!

Firstly,

I'll find a place to accomodate everyone's coming, as said in the first post wink

I defenetly won't be able to accomodate everyone in my small parisian flat, but I've started a thread on the french firespinning forum about this (already got some proposals), the association members will surely help me, and I also have non-jugglers friends !!

Therefore, BOOK your tickets .. we'll handle the rest

Any hand given is more than welcome smile

I'd like us to make a list of who's coming for how long, so that I can handle accomodation more easily

Irish:

Fear-Tine, 26 -28th of May

Ronan & maiuki, 24 -30 th of May

Flip, Ado-p & Amélie, 24 -30 th of May

FurryPurple,

Brits

Lavatwilight

Strugz,

T&B,

Garthy,

M-O-M

Simian, Ucof & Brovil Monkey: 26 - 29 th of May

Flaming Deity

FireNix & viv??

Germans

321Lupo, 27 th - 29th

Someone (Austria), 27th - 30th

Rodo, 25th - 28th

Olivier & Doro (AlphaLight project), cadena, & saskia, date missing ??

Ma'tina ??

Archana & Samarpan (poidance.de), 26th till 31st of May ??

Andy ??

and some more (to be cross-checked with the german-forum thread)

Same for the Italians smile

Finns (RHD):

Tommi, 22/05 - 28/05

Antti, 22/05 - 05/06

US

Tiger-balm Dan, 20/04 - 20/06 ??

canada

Jenn la maniaque

Anyone 's willing to do some shows can directly apply to me via PM smile Unfortunately our paid-shows budget is now fully allocated !! But if you have a decent show that you wanna do daytime (not during the open-stage), busking in the parc is possible.

There is no fireshow planned so far ! the parc is closing at 9pm & dusk is about 10:30 pm frown No indoor fireshow possible frown

But we'll find a solution, maybe a firenight on friday eve !

Rob (Firenix)> I would love you & viv to come & play at the convention. PM on its way smile

Matthew B-M> How can it be free?

We are funded by the Paris townhall (very little funding), and our policy has allways been to make everything for free, so that everyone benefits from it.

We are not raising any money from entrance fees, this implies that we usually can't afford expensive juggling shows, many shows are only paid by travel expenses, & many artists are doing it for free !

We are making the convention in a parc, which is gently let to us for free by the townhall. This means that it's not a closed area for jugglers only: anyone passing by can get in, which has its advantages & disadvantages (whatch out your belongings )

The night shows & open-stage is done in an artistic squat, therefore for free smile

Everything in the association is based on volunteering smile

Hope to have covered your question

Olive,

Yep, we've arranged a place to stay at a friend of amelies in the city centre. Near Montematre. I think. We havent told them yet. But thats their own fault for being friends with jugglers.

In that case, can one of you let me know when you're booking them for?
We might as well head over at the same time.

Olive - somewhere for me to sleep would be fantastic as well smile
