Hey I know this is a thread that comes up every now and then, but since this community is getting so big, and people come and people go, I thought I would start it again...

So people.. how long have we all been on this glorious board for?

I think I worked out last night that I have been on HOP for about a year and 8 months or so...

On and off I should say, I only poke my head out occasionally these days, although now we have the net at home. I may be on here more often.

I'm still baffled by Dom being an adminiswotsit. Not to mention that Vanize is posting all the time these days....

when i get over that bafflement then I promise I'll start noticing that you're lurking (or not). OK?

Oh does this thread bring back memories! How I miss some of the old skoolers, enjoy some of the new ones and look forward to what's to come.

So let me see here...Next month I will be celebrating my 5th HoP birthday. Wow! Three or Four board generations, thousands of people, and such innovation!

I *never* would have guessed I would still be here. Then again, I *never* would have guessed I would be working here either back when I first signed on!

I remember when there were only 30 people and only about 5 of us were girls! lol
How far we have come!

Hmm, it says I reged in November, but I remember starting to spin end of August/beginning of September. So, I guess I've been spinning somewheres around a year, but only what, 10 months on HoP? Hmm, almost a year now!!

EDIT: Waaaaaait, I just remembered that when the boards were switched over, I couldn't log in for about a week, and gave up and re-registered!!! *goes to dig up old BoboDCL info*

[Old link] I knew I'd been here longer! 1 year, 15 days!

Plus i remember when Arsn and Bender 1st came onto the board and they both annoyed the heck out of me with their childish antics tongue

and i remember the outcry from certain quarters that we suddenly had to register before we could post (and the fact that it was those certain quarters that had necessitated the change in the first place)

happy days.....

It's funny to look back at threads I haven't seen in a long time. The sad part is that I think I remember the old names more than the newer ones.

I was made a mod in Feb that year or so (I think). I was the lone mod-ranger for a short bit, and then I think I started to go batty trying to keep up. I remember deliberating on making you a mod FF (and every mod since! lol)!!! tongue That was an easy choice!...too bad it was the wrong one! JOKE! JOKE! lol

Hehe,

Pardon my inpropriety, wise eldar smile I was actually just searching the topics on moderation/ censorship from the early days.... what a classic! We had some serious antiauthoritarians in the house.

One thing I have also noted is that, as this community has grown so large, many of the once-massive personalities such as yourself (and me) have quietened down considerably.... Although I know all the mods barely have time to contribute as most of the forum time is spent helping members and moderating stuff....
