Hey I know this is a thread that comes up every now and then, but since this community is getting so big, and people come and people go, I thought I would start it again...

So people.. how long have we all been on this glorious board for?

I think I worked out last night that I have been on HOP for about a year and 8 months or so...

On and off I should say, I only poke my head out occasionally these days, although now we have the net at home. I may be on here more often.

I use to be skichristian, I think I came here in march of 2001, but had been scoping the sight out for a month or so. I think that is 21 or 22 months now. almost 2 years.

I originally registered in May, 2001, but there wasn't much in the name of a board then, just the old skool board. Anyways, that makes me almost a year and a half old.

But I only became active in about January of 2001, so that makes me a bit under a year old.

Registered in Jan 2002, so that makes me just under a year as well. Although I lurked for a long time before registering.

It was a day for screaming at inanimate objects.

I was posting here before I'd ever SEEN fire spinning. It was funny to meet up with Pele and Nomad and Peregrine and the gang back a year and a half ago, never having seen a fire spinner spin...

I've been spewing forth chemistry information for well over a year and a half but spinning fire for about that long.

One of these days I'm gonna actually get good.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

I've been on this board for exactly 2 years now. Scouted the site and read the boards for a few months before i started posting dumb newbie questions. :-)

2 years is about how long i've been spinning fire too.

Ah NYC.... remember that rooftop party where we met in Bush Wicks (Brooklyn NY, for you non-US HOPers)... dude, that seems like a lifetime ago...

In terms of age since registering I am ten months old, but I had been reading the discussion board for two months before my HoP "birth."

Does this mean that Malcolm is my HoP mom?

Since 1999 That was the reeeeaally old bored, aye Jo?

Diana is more of a reader Katinca, but she is alive and very beautiful, as always. And it is really nice to see you on here again! Also lovely as always are Flavio, Donia Love (Ignis Devoco), Charly...any of these sound familiar? Or I could get even older..Djinn (Chris) and Vivianne (Kerri) of Fireworks. How about Katja and Simos? Anyone remember them? Wow my head is reeling!

And was it really that long ago Nomad and NYC? Seriously? That was one hell of a whirlwind weekend! I was actually thinking about when we met in Vermont and camped in New Hampshire the other day Nomad. It all seems very surreal now...we need to do it again!

Hey Katinca, I still take a quick look at the board about once a week just to make sure i'm not missing anything important (!) but i'm not interested in posting much anymore. Haven't done much spinning since Burning Man. That was sort of the apex for 2002 for me and i've had a hard time spinning fire since, in environments that are never as free as BM.

With ANTHELION, we are performing in the New Year's eve parade next week, for our last performance together. Then we're all going back to our homelands (except for Code128, who will keep the fire alive in Boston) and will hopefully spread the fire there. So yeah, i'm going back to France in the spring. If you and Josh are ever in Europe again, let me know as i'll be really happy to see you two again.

I think it has been 4 years and something like 3 months since I started visiting HoP - I think I first looked at the instuctional vids in June 2000? I didn't register after the 'new' board started in 2001 for ages though (hence my rather high member #), and only after cassandra twisted my arm to do so!
