new wave of american heavy metal?

It's quite different in sound to death metal, but there are more similarities than differences really.

yeah, they invented it! it's a long and complicated story to do with a joke on a t shirt etc etc.

you know some people are VERY strict about genres and discussions can go on for hours.

there are a lot of differences between death & nwoahm and even nwobhm, believe it or not (yes, that's british).

it's very interesting really, there are some similar poi equivalents that people delve in to with great glee on HoP, and i stay out of those discussions too! (although i understand metal a lot better i have to say)

well, you get the picture. insignificant in the bigger picture really|!

I just find it funny that most people who argue for ages about labelling music are the same people who resent labels being made for them as sub-cultures. I've seen people debate for three pages whether Greenday are "Punk" or not, and then got insulted when I implied they were all taking it too seriously and would hate to have labels attached to them! rolleyes

It'll go away, Tao Star. Internet things always do. hug

After much consideration, I find that the view is worth the asphyxiation.

I may disagree with what you have to say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Lamb of God have been going that long but their style didn't really reach it's current format until 2000 when they released New American Gospel. They were also greatly influenced by death metal bands earlier in their career, hence the similarities.
