See, there's this sand... and... it falls... and ...

Yep, that second falling sand game is better than the first.

Turn off the zombies and the snig though, they just get in the way. Using the small version of it's a good idea if you've got a slow computer.

A challenge - turn off the sand and oil and set the water and salt to 3. Then try to make a device that mixes the water and the salt and outputs the salt water on it's own, with no unmixed salt or water.

For a couple of variations

- 100% mixture rate, so there's no waste running off somewhere else.

- Aim for the highest effeciency possible.

- Have two outputs, one of salt water, one of pure water.

- Make it look as pretty as possible wink

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I did this with salt and water on 1 with a few dots of spout - It's impossible for a pure mix otherwise, there's an excess of salt. Completely unplanned but some how on my saltwater machine it also collected the slight surplus of water in one place, which also served to catch any stray salt that didn't mix properly earlier. I was working on an infinate fire/plant combo to try and "eat" the water and then burn off but it was really unstable.

I may have been spend too much time on that game...

After a (long) while, I got something that mixes salt with water and doesn't have any excess salt:
https://www.homeofpoi.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=9322
It takes a while of tweaking to get the flow rates right, but that one's been running at maximum speed for about 20 minutes now, so it's pretty stable.
It's not incredably efficient, although with more tweaking I could probably get it working better.
Doesn't look very pretty though wink

I'm actually a tad surprised that there isn't a thread about it - it's the kind of thing that takes over work places for a few days.

Should really have put "with 100% efficency" in there

I meant the inifinate fire thing, the rest worked fine.

Some of the people who play online games against other people are why I gave up going to LAN parties.

I've played a few online games in the past. I've looked around shockrave and I played a kingdoms one in the past as well....utopia it was called. It seems to still exist in a much more proffesional form
https://games.swirve.com/UTOPIA/
I liked the style of utopia- you build buildings that earn you stuff...like magicians keeps earn you magic points, farms earn you food...mines gold and so on. Then you spend your hard earned points hiring an army to defend yourself (or attack other people) or sending thieves to other kingdoms...e.t.c.

I go through computer game phases....I'll get a new game and be hooked for a few days or even a week if it's a good game. There is one game though that I always come back to. I've been playing for years now and it never gets boring.

Thats the only online game I really play. It takes a while to get hooked but when your hooked it's permanent.
