I've finally gotten around to starting to put some videos up from FireDrums 2005 (from April!).

The easiest way to find them is probably by this search:

I'll watch them just as soon as I have a computer that doesn't take 2 mins to boot up biggrin

Looking forward to seeing them though, thanks Roger smile

Oddly enough, I was just thinking of you yesterday.

Icon, have you checked out Freeline Skates? Some of the poi spinners in SF have gotten into them lately (now that they're available). Monica with LSDFuego has had a pair of prototypes for more than 2 years now, so she's got a head start on the rest of us.

Just had a look at em. They look totally fun and Id love to try em out some time. Dunno how well they would work with spinning though. They seem somewhat hard to maneuver on flat land at lower speeds. They would give a really unique look if its possible though.

Yay! At long last the Firedrums footage is coming out. Thanks Roger. Sean's New Year's spin was awesome -- it's been a while since I've seen him spin in person which is odd because I've been seeing him around a lot lately, and that was not how I remember him spinning. Boy's clearly been working on more than his new lights!

How do you like using Google video?

taken out of context i must seem so strange

Icon - I've heard stories of staff spinning on those skates, and I'm sure with some practice poi would be possible.

Khan - I think their summer on the music festival circuit really helped Sean and Prisna improve a lot.

I can't wait for FireDrums this year. Gonna be amazing!

April 14-16, mark your calendars! it was one of my favorite fire gatherings i've ever been to, absolutely cannot wait to see those fine folks again smile

did you happen to get any footage of me spinning? i honestly can't remember what any of my burns were like that night, it'd be awesome to see how they were.
