Ok, just because this hasn't been brought up recently (and I'm not referring to anyone specific, I promise!), I just wanted to make a general request of all posters.
If you are going to link us to a site that makes noise or that may contain objectionable (especially X-rated) images, PLEASE WARN US when you supply the link.
There are a number of reasons:
1) Some people don't want to see X-rated stuff.
2) Some people don't mind seeing X-rated stuff, but have children around so will want to be sure that their kids are not in the room when they click on the link.
3) Some of us sometimes access HOP from community (school, work, etc.) computer clusters. A website with an X-rated image unexpectedly popping up in the middle of the Med School computer lab doesn't make me look very tasteful. In the same vein, a website that makes noise (music, loud bangs etc.) will cause heads to turn and will annoy people who are studying.
Thus, if a site makes noise or has possibly objectionable images, please let us know. Even if it's a joke site, a simple "Warning: the site makes noise" or "Warning: you may not want to have small children in the room when you open this link!" will help.

How about an extra request (Thanks Mike, for the original one)
Please DON'T link to X-Rated sites.
It only takes a few of these links for HoP to get rated as an X-rated site on it's own.
If that happens, anyone with a filter (such as schools, public computers and my computer as well) won't be able to bring up HoP.
This could mean thousands of people who might never find HoP an dwe would all miss out on their input and wisdom.

No Charles is Right, those spiders that crawl the net looking for porno sites arn't very smart bot's. It's kinda like driving a tank through a go cart course. I'd say that half the fire dancing sites are blocked by my Province's Gov as being: "Contrary to BC Education Internet Usage Policy". I don't want this one to become one of them. So please if you want porn go to google and type "Porno" or whatever you like. But don't post the links here.
