Get him something friendly.

But not particularly romantic or you'll send mixed messages.

This way if something happens when you get back you can smile about the gift... but if it never materializes you can smile about the gift anyway.

CD? DVD? Hat? Silly socks?

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

A specially printed t-shirt with a picture of you on it giving two thumbs up.

Make him wear it to the pub

I think Jon has the right idea wink I'm only surprised it was UCOF Jon who suggested it ubblol

My suggestion would be a mix tape, but seeing as they don't really exist anymore in this kerazy world of mp3maphones how about going along with NYC's suggestion, you can try places like www.iwantoneofthose.com for cool impersonal unique(ish) presents smile

Let's relight this forum ubblove

bellsspinning, if you don't want to get romantic with this guy yet, why do you want to get him a valentine's day present?!

maybe a farewell present to take travelling with him might be better?

ideas:

jewellery (something to remind him of you and home - bracelet, necklace, piercing)

stationary/correspondence pack (to write you and all his friends with smile)

warm clothes (england is cold right now! sweaters, jumpers, hat, gloves, scarf)

good luck ubbrollsmile

theres only one appropriate present, a footbag!!!!!!!

really good learner bags here

footbags are good because he will probably suck at it, so you can laugh at him, and then you could spend time with he cause you'll both try to learn wink multipurpose and healthy

In that case, TBH, I don't see what would be wrong with sleeping with him...

You both like eachother... You both want each other... Why resist your natural urges?

There's always more than a small chance that while he's away, either of you could change your mind, stumble across something better...

A saying comes to mind... It's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all...

(not saying that you should sleep with him, I'm just saying I don't see why not)

as for material gifts... Find something that relates to one of his favourite hobbies, or something cool and useful that he can use a lot, and when he does, he'll think about the person that gave it to him...

Empty your mind. Be formless, Shapeless, like Water.
Put Water into a cup, it becomes the cup, put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, put water into a teapot, it becomes the teapot.
Water can flow, or it can Crash.
Be Water My Friend.

What did UCOF say?

Huh?

Oh... he meant the othrer John... whose suggestion was "sleep with him".
But yes, it would have been the same answer as me wink

Written by: Dunc

My suggestion would be a mix tape, but seeing as they don't really exist anymore in this kerazy world of mp3maphones

ditto

Make him an MP3 cd though (copy the actual tracks on to the cd in windows explorer or similar) instead of writing a cd that can be played in an audio cd player. That way, you can put much more music on, and when he copies them from the MP3 CD onto the computer, he can do what he wants with them smile
