Todays video for your pleasure:

Baton twirling - Sheryl Welykholowa, Jill Ford, Stacy Singer - Triple Threat

Linky linky

Details: On stage probably 2002 . A super tight performances from world champion standard baton twirlers.

Amazingly talented trio including Stacy Singer doing monster rolls - a move apparently invented for her and remamed matrix by the edinburgh staff twirlers.

See Glitzy stuff, 3 baton juggling, contact sequence and some qualilty strutting about.

If you like this, make a post below. If you have any requests, I can post them too. biggrin

What a fantastic clip.

Amazing skills and a definite heart and soul to it.

That looked like a fun convention except for the fact that they looked like they were stuck in the same hotel room for the entire weekend. smile

He's pretty awesome... biggrin He's busting out some cool character walks, and this was made way back in 1971... his waves are very old school.

It is awesome!

How do you know it is traditional? Or is that explained in the tribe thread... ?

I really like the tapping stick combo's, that would be a nice tempo dynamic change in a typical staff spin. Sort of like short poi stalls and taps. Can emphasize the rhythmical aspect.

cool

Indeed. The rate at which they are increasing their own size is, itself, increasing.

Sorry it ain't video.

Molly and I went to the Ron Mueck exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. I hadn't heard of him but he's amazing. It's all different sized reproductions of people that are unbelievably lifelike.

Here is the link to some photos from this exibition (taken at another location.)

The photos here are pretty work safe (aside from a sculpture with breasts if you work in a monistary.) If you continue to look for his work you might find a bit more nudity than work would allow.

If any of his work comes to your city, take the time to take a look.
