Todays video for your pleasure:

Baton twirling - Sheryl Welykholowa, Jill Ford, Stacy Singer - Triple Threat

Linky linky

Details: On stage probably 2002 . A super tight performances from world champion standard baton twirlers.

Amazingly talented trio including Stacy Singer doing monster rolls - a move apparently invented for her and remamed matrix by the edinburgh staff twirlers.

See Glitzy stuff, 3 baton juggling, contact sequence and some qualilty strutting about.

If you like this, make a post below. If you have any requests, I can post them too. biggrin

________________________________________________________________

I've not explicitly stated this so strongly before, but the threads been bumbling along nicely, about every few pages it seems to derail a bit, and I have to call my favorite SuperMod.

This is a thread for the best videos, with a general theme of "top quality skills" and some digressions are very welcome for other brilliant clever or very funny clips. *

Please do post, videos of the best in skills, Manipulation, movement, dance, or any video that is brilliant.

Please don't post mediocre crap,

Please post stuff that is utterly brilliant, or entertaining or interesting or truly inventive.

Please don't post clips that have been posted already in the 17 pages of this thread. or on the blog at www.ministryofmanipulation.com/blog

When you post a video link please accompany it with a short description, so we can decide where or not to watch it, and find it if we're searching again later.

"wow, look at this" is not very helpful.

The problem I'm finding with video is that I can do most of those things if you gave me enough takes. Not all of them, but most of them. I guess I'll just have to be less pessimistic and assume that they can relatively reproducibly do those tricks.

What's your point?

Yes, the videos are the type of thing that needs to be attempted over and over again before you get it right.

Every video I've made, I've had to practice those things that I do in the video, over and over again. I guarantee the same for every one here. No one was a born performer...

Seems pretty much the same thing, if you ask me... only I didn't film every attempt I made, hoping that I would get it right...

Perhaps you're misunderstanding the word "takes" as practice. Obviously one needs to practice to get good. I'm less impressed by something that could easily be done by filming hours and hours of bad pool shots and just editing out the 99% of shots that miss.

If you film enough monkeys randomly typing letters you will have filmed one typing Shakespeare.

For those that miss the reference...

I love them for the art, sod how many takes it takes, they're still way better at pool and basket ball than me, this is the movies, not real life.

MCP, that basket ball one is wicked.

Those pool shots are cool too ed.

If it took them 99 attempts to get each of those shots, then wicked, respect for spending a week making that film.

Yeah, but just think how much thrown poo you'd have to clear up wink

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
