Todays video for your pleasure:

Baton twirling - Sheryl Welykholowa, Jill Ford, Stacy Singer - Triple Threat

Linky linky

Details: On stage probably 2002 . A super tight performances from world champion standard baton twirlers.

Amazingly talented trio including Stacy Singer doing monster rolls - a move apparently invented for her and remamed matrix by the edinburgh staff twirlers.

See Glitzy stuff, 3 baton juggling, contact sequence and some qualilty strutting about.

If you like this, make a post below. If you have any requests, I can post them too. biggrin

Oi. If BigDaddyGlass says you off topic in his thread then you'd better get back on topic in his thread.

And yes, there are tons of really amazing paint bucket drummers here. They sound even better in the subway.

Beautiful Commercial Art always bothers me a bit.

And then it bothers me that it doesn't bother y'all.

And then I feel like a hippy.

Which is weird because I generally think of y'all as the hippies.

Cole, are there vids of you out there somewhere?

I am trying to recall stuff from your workshop on polyrhythms, and my brain just snapped and went in to a seizure. I would love to be able to watch you, and joyfully hit myself repeatedly trying to imitate and learn...

woah!

drew now has an official henchman to keep his threads in order?!

that's when you *know* you've made it smile

and on 'commercial' art...

consider that if it wasn't commissioned that it probably would never have been made at all and even if it was, probably wouldn't be seen because of the minimal exposure that even great video art gets.

and of course that its done by people that aren't strictly artists.

silly hippies wink

I Like some commercial art, due to the fact that I feel good about having the odd artist out there secure in knowing where their next meal is coming from... The whole starving artist thing is soooooo last year!

Crap offering compared to above:

This is not a video: but it amused me: https://pics.livejournal.com/insertnamehere2/pic/0005pd67

This is about a video, but it reminds me of a discussion about artists "working for money" V's "selling out" Vs "selling their work" that was going on somewhere round here:

https://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/13/magazi...artner=USERLAND

(NYC do you know where.)

Also: what colour Genpet would you have?

Well, as this seems to be the place for awesome videos, here's a couple of mine (as a drummer) personal bests.

Numero Uno My only consolation is I've got the same t-shirt as him and it fits me just as badly (I also play Pearl drums, but I had to buy mine)

Then the same kid, when he's learnt some musicality and dynamics.
Nombre Deux Sadly, he no longer wears that t-shirt (I do) and plays DW drums which kick arse (and bank balances)

It's kinda manipulation... ubbangel
