Hello wave

I hope you're all eagerly awaiting news about PLAY 2006, well so are we! We're having troube finding a venue that meets our requirements, primarilly

a) Is cheap enough to keep ticket price down
b) Is in (or roughly in) the Midlands
c) Isn't just an empty field

Sounds simple you may say, but alas not so far. If anyone knows of any decent venues can you let us know here? Did you go to a little festival last Summer in a nice quiet tucked away place in the countryside somewhere perhaps? Did it have anything like running water etc?

If you can think of anywhere please post whatever details you have, or send a pm to me instead if you fancy smile

Thanks! hug

dude, im not really a coach, hence why its called a choach!

and come on, more weirdness from me, whats wrong with you not expecting it! wink

i have tried to juggle saws, but i really only got up to one, and it was a standard saw, didnt have the juggle club handle at the back, so it was harder to jggle with

but apparently, the engine in them acts as a giro and spins them better for you....

when you back?

would be really, really nice. i don't know if they have access to the field next door for camping, but it'd be worth an ask...

might also be totally unsuitable ubbangel

that seems like a godo idea rob...

well done,
i would say a maybe, they would probably have a fit about having several hundered juggle/spinner/people turning up, and then being told there will be a fire show somehwre?

dunc, have a look and see

thank you for the post rob smile
you where right, most useful

well, mech, i've taught workshops there, and tepooka works there occasionally.. so they know what the general idea is...

but, of course, 500ish nutters turning up, IS a different proposition. just have to ask, eh?

biggrin

lower shaw would be awesome.

Oooh, Swindon would be nice as it's closer to Bristol. It's just that I don't want to get too far away just in case...

we spoke to the authorities of a local park this morning, and they are well into the idea of having an event like this, and there is plenty of space and in a very nice area.

Unfortunately though, they were booked for that weekend 10 days ago!

BUT they have some other dates free if you are interested . . .

1-2 July (the weekend after)
24-25 July
5-6 August

We at Lower Shaw are well up for helping out if you like the sound of the dates. We organise a lot of events in Swindon so know the right people etc.

biggrin

other dates . . .

1-2 July (the weekend after)
24-25 July
5-6 August

the 24-5 July is a monday and tuesday... which might be a bit odd...
and 5-6 August clashes with Big Green Gathering.... sigh...
