I don't know whether it's just me being overly sensitive, but in the aftermath of the deletions, the Social chat and discussion rooms seem to have become far more hostile places to be. I don't understand why, and I'm entirely convinced it's not just me being silly, but it's beginning to put me off being on here!

So is it just me being silly and being overwhelmed by everything that's happening back home and on here, or is it actually happening?

Sorry guys...

Deletions are not a personal attack guys. This has happened before and it will happen again..thats why we have the mods who do such a great job and were lucky to have them. Sometimes we get a little carried away it seems and it takes a little bit of gentle reminding every now and again to keep us on the right track. Thats one of the reasons why HOP is such an amazing place.

Theres never really any ill-will over stuff like this. Feel the love people. peace

It wasn't the deletions that got to me, I know that, and I said as much... it was just the atmosphere seemed to change as soon as it happened. I can't really explain it as I was reading through other threads, the newer posts seemed to be very "GRRRRRR" about everything. hey ho, I think I'm probably just being over sensitive.

Hey Drudwyn, I know you probably mean me... I'm just really really frustrated with why everything has to be discussed into the smallest detail, at a topic that (I think) doesn't require that extent of discussion. I'm not trying to be aggressive to anyone, I just don't seem to get my point across, and half of the time I feel that it should be quite clear, and it seems like people are misunderstanding it on purpose to keep the discussion going (slight exaggeration there but I think you know what I mean).

If I meant to offend anyone, I think that would be quite clear, too. Actual hostility from me is very rare, and quite obvious. Plus, if you think I've posted something hostile, I'd appreciate it if you sent me a pm and we can clarify it... I don't want to be on bad terms with anyone here hug I think you are being a bit overly sensitive, too, but just to make sure I've added a real "GRRRRRR" post with what I was trying to get across but didn't seem to in the other thread...

Drud, welcome to HOP.

This stuff happens from time to time. We deal, we pick up again, we get rowdy again, we get a warning from the mods, people bitch and moan, and then we pick up again, we get rowdy again, we get a warning from the mods, people bitch and moan, and then we pick up again, we get rowdy again, we get a wa...

Pah you 2005 lot think you seen it all wink

Take the advice of the older lot, as flash and mike said HoP does have this cycle but a balance always returns, and anyway, in the absence of certain threads ive found it has gone back to being what it was (which is a good thing)

it's not about discussion and opposing opinions - it's how the opposition is articulated and I must say that people are very bold keying in wordings and phrases they'd never dare to use in 1on1 interaction - although this my also be a benefit... wink
