Chocfest will be happening on the 11th Feb 2006.

Joseph Rowntree School (YO32 4BZ) are very enthusiastic about having us

back, so we're all booked in. smile For those who came to CFX it's the same

venue, though we'll probably be moving the location of the urn so we don't

set the fire alarm off again. (For some reason that stuck in their

minds.) Their only major request is that high heeled shoes aren't worn in

the sports hall or gym, so if you were thinking of wearing high heels,

feel free to bring them but you won't be allowed to wear them inside until

the event moves to the Assembly Hall in the evening.

We have some very tough judges lined up for the Chocfest Chocolate Cake

Challenge, so don't forget to bring your preferably home-made chocolate

cakes (entry into the challenge also entitles you to a discount to CF

itself).

Things are looking promising for a cup-stacking workshop and demonstration.

The website should now have been updated wink

After much consideration, I find that the view is worth the asphyxiation.

Depends... there are a few places we could do fire, unfotunately they're all at the University, so might be problematic if you want to go home right after the event, or have transportation issues.

Maybe a show of hands for those wanting to do fire? Bearing in mind the even is running from 10 til 10 then it will be dark for the last 3-4 hours of it. Maybe the people in charge will let us do it on their field or something.

After much consideration, I find that the view is worth the asphyxiation.

[censored] hell, about time I heard from somebody from there! I emailed somebody from your union asking if the Juggling Society was open during vacation periods, I heard no reply. When I'm back in Huddersfield, I never find anybody to juggle with.

... so... is your juggling club running during the easter break? (Even though it's a University juggling society, it may just have members from the public who juggle with you and run it during non-uni time)

Nope, i believe that it doesn't run during the holidays, we have very few members, probably about 14 officials, probably 2 or 3 unofficials. If you wanna drop by during term time, give us a shout!

Btw, what course are you doing at hull? i know a couple of people there, one lady in her first year doing law, another in second year doing sociology and psychology or social psychology or something.

Yay! More people!

It would be perfectly possible to come back to mine for some Fire, but I live on campus, and people who want to go home might not want to trail all the way back here, do fire, then trail all the way to the station or whatever.

I'm probably going to walk around with a badge with "Sethis" written on it, so HoPpers can easily identify me... Could other people do the same? It would save me asking every individual juggler wink beerchug

After much consideration, I find that the view is worth the asphyxiation.

OK, I *might* come to this. No promises, I'll just have to see how things go and wether I've got rid of my cold by then. If I do go, then I won't be staying very late, got to get back to near Huddersfield.

Second year chemist - doubt I'd know your friends! I don't talk to many lawyers of psychologists...

I hardly come home during term time unfortunately, but I'd like to come for a juggle sometime. Since my year finishes earlier than yours (I think), might manage to make it sometime in may...

Sethis - I'll wear a nametag too., although, I seem to recall they gave out nametags (onto which we wrote with a marker) at last year's chocfest.

Since you live in Beverley, you could catch the X47 from York, it goes through Beverly. That way you could force your parents to give you a lift to sheffield the next day...

Well I didn't go to last year's (by virtue of not lving in York wink) Chocfest, and even if they do provide tags, then it might be an idea to bring along your own anyway, just in case.

You could even have 2: one for your "Real" name and one for your HoP name.

I just don't want to somehow avoid meeting any of you HoPpers, because last time I saw any of you was Fal4... I never meet anyone from here normally frown

I think it's going to be a "turn up and if people want to do it then they can" thing, rather than anything planned.

Entry is apparantly in the £4-6 mark. Which sucks frown

Hopefully because I'm running a staff workshop then I will get a discount or something!

See ya tomorrow wink
