Hey guys!
I am looking for a European agent with connnections in music festivals, non profit fundraisers (like Greenpeace, Amnesty Intl, etc.) and corporate events. We wanna perform at Glastonbury, etc... but have very few connections over there. Who do I call?
Web resources? Suggestions? Horror stories?

Why not try asking them - email the people at glastonbury festival and ask where they find people, then look for them and ask what they're looking for in an act and target you marketing to that.
I've never put on anything big enough to need an agency, but even with them, word of mouth is about the best marketing tool you can use. Get testimonies from your old clients and include them on a web site or email or whatever and spam everyone!
I guess this is turning in to basic marketing advise (AKA Egg Sucking) but I think if you pester enough people - in a nice way - you'll find out the best way to go about it.

well, honestly not being from EU I don't even know what the names of the festivals would be... or where to start. Hence my desire to just get an agent and pay them to do it for us
We've got a great show and manager here so it's just a matter of making the phone calls.We've got everything covered, resumes, credentials, vids, etc... At this point I'm looking for suggestions on credible/incredulous agencies, and links to directories, etc. that i might not google.
