I was spinning last night and noticed that the wicks on my poi are seriously frayed to the point where the outer layer of wick is almost split. Is it about the right time to re-wick them or should I wait a little longer?

what sort of fire poi are they?
are you going to be doing any public performances anytime soon?
how often do you burn them?

Right time is when the fire is small and Poi stop burning very soon. When rebulding, you can save your previous and use less new kevlar when you put the burned part to the bottom of the wick(you reverse it).
