Ok, the "moderators already notified about this post" feature is brilliant.... smile
Must make things loads easier for you guys as well. My only question is if someone (probably not me to be honest but I can see it happening) either has a significant opinion they want to get across about it (or to explain a seeming problem they're involved in) or is upset enough to want their voice heard... they'd now have to do it a more roundabout way, like "info@homeofpoi.com"

Should this be the case, or should there be an "if its very important you can keep writing" sort of thing? I admit the first would be more discouraging to people just wanting to whine or what have you, but it would also make it easier to see what people arre on about if you use the second...

Well, there is also the pesky PM feature.
I have gotten a high share of opinions sent there, and I am fine with that.
We were getting so many dupes of thread alerts (which is awesome and means that the members care about this board very much) that it is meant to weighleigh that.

But seriously, PM-ing is one of the easiest ways to get ahold of us as well. And if you want to see if we really do read them...there is always a read receipt. wink

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the "moderators already notified about this post feature" is a feature that tells you if the moderators have already been notified about a post.

Then again, I only went to a state school.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

Joe, it's if you're unhappy/uncomfortable about a post for any reason and want the Mods to look at it to see if it requires retracting/changing etc - for instance if it's a personal attack

Its quite worrying that people don't know about the notify mods button.

The existance of flamethrowers says that someone, somewhere, at sometime said "I need to set that thing on fire, but it's too far away."

I think the new feature is one over and above the 'notify mods' button, where, presumably, a message appears on threads where notification has already occured, to prevent mods getting loads of repeated notifications of the same problematic post?

It would be interesting to know where this message appears i.e. on the thead itself, or maybe on the pop-up screen that appears when you click on 'notify mods'?

its on the pop up screen. and you absolutly cannot notify the mods if they have already been notified, well, not by using the "notify mods" button tongue

hence i was asking how it would be appropriate and all that.

and pele has been wonderful and answered fully smile
