Hello all :-)

Hopefully some of you out there who now more about poi than I can advise me on which poi to purchase. I've been doing poi on and off for about a year and for a few months when travelling I lit them up every night. I want to buy some on the HOP website but don't know which one to choose. I'm not a beginner but probablynot intermediate. I'd like fire poi that have a decent flame and burning time (the last one's I bought from another website weren't so good)

Any advice would be reelly appreciated as I can't wait to get spinning again.

Happy spinning ;-)

For those who understand you no explaination is necessary. For those who don't none is possible.

It's hard to say what to get... It comes down to personal preference most of the time, personally when I was around you're level I got myself a set of 2.5" wick chain poi after using cable poi when I first started (I much prefer the chain). So imho go with the tube core 2.5" Chain poi. https://www.homeofpoi.com/shop/productDetails.php/182_53_fire_poi

But in the end it all comes down to what you're comfortable spinning with...

Cheers, Moka

tube core is probably one of the best. Monkey fist adds A LOT of weight and a lot of people don't like them for this reason. Tube core have a decent burn time on them anyway. Also, definately don't get cable, I wouldn't recomend them to anyone as they kink and fray easily. Link chain or ball chain is your best bet. If you do a lot of wraps go for the ball chain, if you don't I would recomend the link chain.

Also, its advisable to do a search before you post a new topic, as there are many questions that have already been answered several times, such as this one.

The search function can be found at the top of the page on the right hand side.

Might I recommend (if you have friends who twirl) try out theirs first...

If you are looking for a fire poi head that has a decent flame and burn time with a little less metal than the tubecore range that we stock, therefore a bonus for wraps etc but exactly the same amount of wick as the tubecore variety, not to heavy, great for beginners or advanced performers alike then these in my opinion are a great fire poi style to own.
