no clue, I suppose it's a bit like World Women's Day, or World Juggling Day, or World Badger Day, only you can't advertise it much because it would be considered sexist

Because its another ridiculous "something day".
Probably just introduced so that Hallmark and WHSmiths can start producing cards for it in a few years and make some more money out of suckers.

I noticed that, too... I don't think anyone will be producing cards though. They didn't do it for Speak like a pirate day, and that was much cooler

just out of interest, why is it sexist for there to be a mens day and not womens day? or isnt it just sexist for there to be either?
Same goes for black history month?
surely this just creates a divide, or strengthens it.

Imagine if there was a white history month....
don't think a men's day is nearly as bad... but yes many people would consider it sexist cause men so often wind up with more power....
