Ok, I'm after a bit of assistance from people who live in or have been to Australia and/or New Zealand.

I'm looking to have a few weeks down that way at someo point next year, the only problem being, what time of year to travel??

Is it noticeable cheaper during the off peak season? If so, what is the off-peak season?

Ideally I'd rather not be there in mid summer, I'd melt in a drippy pool on the steps coming off the plane, I don't want to have to explain that to an irate pilot! ubblol

Also, let me know what places you'd suggest that I visit so I can try and organise some kind of list of to do's.

Cheers peeps!

Oh dear god. there is going to be a famine in Oz and NZ in May. Locust Bird is landing and all the food will vanish like an old oak table!

vanished, not varnished, oh loving the blackadder quote smile

Give a man a fish and he'll eat 4 a day hit a man with a brick and you can have all his fish and his wife

Is it the Truth?
Is it Fair to all concerned?
Will it build Goodwill and Better Friendships?
Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

thats the same theory I'm working on! I have to do Melbourne and Sydney, I want to do Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane too, and I'm spending a week in New Zealand!

I think I'm going to spend most of my holiday going from place to place!

Hurrah for lack of planning! perhaps we'll drift into each other, or we could make more concrete attempts to do so somewhere?
