So I'm thinking a Blog would be a good way to keep people updated of my forthcoming travels, with news, pictures and comments etc.

But there's a hayoooooj number of sites out there offereing Blog space (I really don't like the word blog...) so was wondering whether people had any ones to reccomend.

The only thing I'm wary of is new ones which might not last out the year...

Blogspot get my vote. Or possibly use msn myspace. It has a blog section and a pictures section and all that.

Could somebody stop the room please... I'd like to get off

Ah - Hurrah!
Blogspot lets you set up a Blog in your own domain - therefore lots of webspace!

Sorted - cheers guys smile

yeah blog spot is good - although I dont see the point having an account (i think i do i cant remember) when i have an msn space plus my own domain ubblol
but if I didn't, I'd definitely use blogspot biggrin

Always use "so's your face" and "only on Tuesdays" in as many conversations possible

I use blogspot (I think... www.blogger.com). No complaints.

What a wonderful miracle if only we could look through each other's eyes for an instant.

livejournal is probably my favourite.
i've had a blogspot and a diaryland (i was little, it was allowed) and i also have a myspace and a lazyfuck.co.uk (local site, not using it much atm) but livejournal beats them all hands down for ease of use/lack of downtime aka 'routine maintenence'/etc

I would always go for the DIY option - Drupal is amazing for everything and quite easy to use once you get in to it.

I've never been a workpress fan, but it's very quick and easy to set up - if you have PHP/MySQL hosting then either of these are the way forward.

To any MSN Spaces fans out there - did you know that MSN take the copyright on everything you post, they sensor you and more often than not you have to log in with a passport account before you can read anything?

It's a VERY bad option if you ask me.

myspace has the same copyright clauses in it's EULA i bet. i see all these DJs and bands with myspace pages who have no idea FOX/NewsCorps now owns the right to do whatever they want with their music, including sell it under better distrobution terms than the artist themselves can come up with on an indie basis. sadness. =(
